Nico is over at Will's house. Will is trying to make pancakes to impress Nico, but he it isn't working well for him.
NICO POV
"Will are you sure you know how to make pancakes?" I ask, looking at the pile of burned pancakes.
"Oh course I know how to make pancakes, they just are being difficult." Will says whisking angrily at the new batch of batter. He pours more onto the pan.
"See these look pretty good." Will says smiling, just as a glob of batter smacks him in the face. he then proceeds to try and lift them off the pan. "Umm, they are just a little stuck." Will mumbles.
"Here babe, I got this." I say taking over. I throw the messed up pancakes in the trash. I start a new batch and pour them into the pan. Will reaches over to spread them out, but I slap his hand away.
"That not how you do it, no wonder you keep messing up."
Will pouts in the corner as I make them.
"Look at this, they are perfect." I say holding one of them up.
"Ghost King magic." Will mumbles.
"Umm, no this is all talent." I say twirling around and striking a pose. Will glares at me and I give him the most innocent smile that I can pull off. I continue to flip pancakes, making sure to rub the perfection of my pancakes in his face. In the end, we end up with a plate full of perfect pancakes. Will takes a few of them, and places them on a plate. We sit down at the table and he gives me a look of jealousy. He cautiously pick up his fork and cuts off a small piece. He places the fork in his mouth and starts chewing.
"What kind of sorcery is this?" He whispers to himself, thinking I can't hear him.
"It's called talent," I reply making him jump.
"You must have put something is these pancakes. They're perfect!" He yells. I smile and start eating my own.
"Teach me senpai!" Will yells grabbing onto my arms.
"First, you spray the pan, and then pour the batter into the pan. Do not spread them out," I say, pausing to stare at him, "because then the batter gets too thin and then the pancakes will burn," I say.
"And then once the bubbles start to form and pop, then you can flip them. And then once it looks fully cooked, then you can put them on the plate," I say, pointing to the plate.
"That seemed way too simple." Will says staring me in the eye. "What is the secret ingredient?"
I look him dead in the eye "Fairy dust." I say deadpan. We burst out laughing and finished our pancakes.
