PART 18 : Pain

Two days later.

"What...Vancouver?" "But why...?" Randhir asked Harsh

"Because Sanyukta and you need some time with each other" Harsh said

"Dad but...why?" "I mean...no need..." Randhir said

"Do as I say Randhir" Harsh ordered him.

"But Dad....?" before Randhir could say further

Harsh left from there.

Randhir came back to his room.

Sanyukta was already packing her bag for the trip.

"You are done with packing?" He asked

"Hmm..." she replied

"So you are willing to go?" He asked

"I don't have any option..." she said

"I don't want to go..." he declared

She turned to him.

"I don't know why Dad is sending us?" He added further.

"Don't worry....post this trip, things will change" She said and left the room leaving him confuse.

Randhir packed his stuffs and they were ready to leave for airport.

Sanyukta took blessings from Renuka and Harsh.

They reached airport in some time. "Flight is late for 2 hours...we will have to wait" Randhir said

They headed towards waiting area.

Sanyukta took a seat and Randhir sat next to her.

There was utter silence between them. No one was talking anything.

Just then and old woman came and sat next to Sanyukta.

She looked Indian by her features and appearance.

Sanyukta looked at her and the lady passed a smile at her.

Sanyukta passed a smile too.

The lady looked at Randhir and understood that he is the girl's husband siting next to her.

"Coffee?" Randhir asked

She nodded.

"I'll get..." Randhir said

He left to bring coffee for them.

"You both look good together" the lady said

Sanyukta looked at her.

"Yes..." "You do..." the lady said

Sanyukta passed a faint smile.

"Kitna time hogaya shaadi ko?" the lady asked

"4 mahine..." Sanyukta said

"You don't look happy" the lady commented

Sanyukta looked at her again.

"Can see it in your eyes" the lady said

"Nothing like that aunty" Sanyukta said

"You love him so much"
"The pain in your eyes tells how deep your love is for him" the lady said

Sanyukta looked down.

She was emotional but somehow she controlled herself in front of the lady.

"Life is never easy beta"
"It has its ups and downs"
"Life is never smooth..."
"But...one shouldn't lose hopes"
"Hope is everything..."
"Hope never dies..." the lady said

Sanyukta understood her words.

Just then Randhir came back with two cups of coffee for them.

The lady smiled at them.

"Thank you..." Sanyukta mumbled.

The lady passed a smile at her and left from there.

Randhir and Sanyukta sipped their coffee in silence.

It was getting cold.

Randhir noticed Sanyukta rubbing her palms with each other.

"Are you fine?" He said

"Hmmm...." she replied

Soon they heard announcement of their flight.

They headed towards terminal gate and boarded the flight.

It was 5 hours of journey from Toronto to Vancouver.

The journey came to end as they reached Vancouver.

A car was waiting for them outside. They sat in car and headed towards their hotel.

Their car stopped at Westin Bayshore hotel.

They were welcomed by the hotel staff and taken to their room.

A room was a huge one.

A perfect suite for a couple.

It shows view of Vancouver city from the balcony.

"Maa...we reached" Sanyukta informed Renuka.

"Great..." "I hope you are okay" Renuka asked

"Yes Maa..." Sanyukta said

"Good, talk you later beta" "Take care.." Renuka said

"Bye Maa...Take care" Sanyukta said
and disconnected the call.

Randhir took a shower and freshen up.

Sanyukta was admiring the night sky from balcony.

Randhir joined her balcony.

"Ordering dinner for us..." He said

"Sorry Randhir, I don't want to have anything.." She said

"Why?" He asked

"Don't feel like..." She said

"Okay..." "Then I'll go down to restaurant and have something" He said

"Hmmm..." she said

Randhir left while Sanyukta looked the door.

She quickly freshen up.

She stood in front of mirror looking at herself.

She was trying to find flaws in her.

Trying to figure what is wrong in her, in her looks, in her appearance.

What is wrong in her?

Why is she not likeable?

Many thoughts came into her mind and one of them was... Randhir has someone else in his life.

Not to blame her for this thought.

Of course not.

He has never accepted her as his wife.

He has never shown any sign of affection towards her.

She knows she has no value in his life.

She is craving for his love.

She is trying to make a place in his heart.

But what if his love and the place in his heart belongs to someone else.

"Randhir..." "Your happiness is what I always wish for"
"And if your happiness is with someone else...I will happily go away from you" She mumbled
