PART 4 : Ignorance

Later Renuka took Sanyukta to the doctor.

Doctor has advised a complete bed rest for at least 10 days.

The crack is minor one and will be fine soon.

Renuka helped Sanyukta till her room.

Sanyukta had lunch followed by her medicines and fall asleep for sometime.

Renuka told Harsh everything.

Harsh was worried now.

"I want you home in next 1 hour..." Harsh texted Randhir.

"What happened Dad?" Randhir replied

"I want you home that's it"
"You will come to know once you are home..." Harsh said

"Okay..." Randhir replied

"What happened Dad?" Randhir came within an hour.

"I will come straight to the point..." Harsh said

"What's the problem Randhir?" Harsh asked

"Problem...?" Randhir exclaimed

"Yes, between Sanyukta and you..." Harsh said

"Nothing..." Randhir replied

"You think we can't see anything..." "We don't know what's happening between you two" Harsh said

"Hold on..."
"Are you guys expecting me to behave like typical husband then I am sorry I won't be able to do it"
"See Dad...I have already made myself clear to you that day...and doing same today"
"I want to live my life FREELY...the way I use to live before"
"Honestly, I don't have any problem,any issues with Sanyukta"
"I don't interfere in her life and I expect same from her"
"I can't leave all my work and start behaving like a husband"
"Sorry I can't...."
"We both have our own life to live...and I want to live my life peacefully" Randhir said

"God Randhir you both are married" "It's not your individual life anymore..."
"Its' YOUR LIFE" "Yours and Sanyukta's life"

"Don't forget Randhir that girl...her life is entangled with your life"
"She is your wedded wife...and you both share this life..."
"You have some responsibilities towards her"
"She needs you"
"She needs your time Randhir"
"A wife expects this much from his husband and it's nothing wrong in it" Harsh said

"I didn't ask her to keep expectations from me Dad"
"And if she does then it's her fault"
"I don't expect anything from her then why does she keeps hopes from me" "It's her fault...." Randhir said

"See Dad...Sanyukta is really nice girl" "I don't want her to be heart broken because of me" He said

"You are already doing it Randhir" Harsh said

"See Dad...I have made myself very clear"
"Rest is up to you and her to understand..." Randhir said

"You are doing it wrong Randhir" Harsh said

Randhir didn't replied and left home for office again.

Sanyukta overheard the conversation.

Her heart broke into pieces.

Later that night.

Randhir came home a bit early.

Sanyukta had dinner and was in her room waiting for him.

She was laying on bed when he stepped inside the room.

They shared a look at each other.

Randhir changed and join her on bed.

He lay down next to her.

There was utter silence prevailing between them.

Randhir checked his phone for sometime and then turn his face to other side.

He fall asleep.

Sanyukta was hurt again.

She looked at his back.

She felt bad.

He doesn't even care to ask about her health.
What did doctor say?
How is she? She thought.

Wiping those tears from her eyes she closed her eyes to gain some sleep.

Next Morning.

Sanyukta was still asleep due to heavy dose of medicines.

It was Sunday so there was no rush for Randhir.

He was sleeping too.

In sometime he woke up from sleep feeling something on his face.

He opened his eyes and found Sanyukta's hair on his face.

He looked at his position.

He has moved towards her in sleep.

Randhir moved aside her hair from his face.

He got up immediately and freshen up.

Some more hours passed but Sanyukta was still sleeping.

Randhir found it weird.

He thought of informing Renuka about it.

Renuka came in no time to check her.

"Oh my god...she has high fever" Renuka said

"Harsh...call doctor quickly" Renuka said

Doctor came in no time.

"What happened to her?" Harsh asked

"She is having fever since last night" "How come no one knows about it" "She fell unconscious because of it"
"I have injected an injection...she will get consciousness soon" Doctor said

Harsh looked at Randhir.

Randhir looked away.

After sometime.

"She was having fever since last night Randhir"
"And you don't know about this?" Harsh scolded Randhir

"Dad...I am not her care taker to know it"
"I really didn't know..." Randhir said in his defence.

"You know what you are saying?" Harsh shouted on him.

"Dad...please stop blaming me"
"We both were in sleep how would I know" Randhir said

"She is your wife Randhir"
"Can't you take care of her" Harsh said

"Forget that...don't you have little bit of humanity" Harsh said

"I am ashamed of myself today"
"That girl was laying unconscious, had high fever and you don't have little bit of courtesy in you" Kishore said

"Enough Dad..."
"I am not her guardian to look after her"
"And I really didn't know she has fever"
"How are you blaming me in all this?" Randhir said

"You know what Randhir...you are impossible" Harsh said

Randhir left home in anger.
