Right so........
Sorry for being so dead but um
I'm back.                 yaaay
Anyways if there any of you left to read here you go

Sam's POV
I paced around my room that I shared, of course, with my husband. Colby. He was the love of my life. And don't get me wrong u do still love him very much, but I felt like this was such a huge turning point in our relationship that it could possible break us.......I ate all his tortilla chips (no jk don't take this seriously).

I twisted my wedding ring as I smiled down softly remembering how nervous Colby was on our wedding day. He was practically sweating a river.

I glance up as soon as I sensed a presence by the door.
"What's up?"
"Oh um n-nothing..." I managed to stutter back, knowing that that would never fool him. His eyes bore into me and I sighed gently.
"I was just thinking about things."
"Vague much?" Was his sarcastic yet concerned tone.
I chanced a look up but averted my eyes back down to the ground as quickly as they went up.

"Seriously though, what's going on? Are you alright?" He questioned softly.
Biting my lip I tried to decide wether or not to tell him. F*** it.
"I um iwasthinkingaboutourrelationshipandiknowwevebeentogetherforsolongandidontwantanythingtohappentousbutdoyouthinkwecouldpossiblymaybeadoptachild???"

He blinked slowly, confusion crossing his face.
"I-um what?"

I choked back tears thinking that he found the idea ridiculous, not realizing that he just couldn't hear me properly cause I'm pretty sure no one would understand anything from that tangent.

"Hey woah woah woah don't I'm don't cry I just didn't hear you right." (He panic).
"Could we adopt a child?" I managed with the shakiest voice in the world. "I've just been thinking about it for a while and you don't have to if you don't want to but I kinda wanted to but-"
"Sam holy cheese calm down!"
I promptly shut myself up and stared at him. After a good minute of no response I closed my eyes and let out a sigh.

Springing my eyes open, I felt a warmth around me and glanced up to see Colby staring back down at me, my head tucked between his shoulder and head.

"Of course we can."
"Wait what"
"I said that we could..."
I felt tears well up in my eyes and I nuzzled into Colby's shoulder sobbing. Ugly sobbing. He held me for as long as I needed it....which turned out to be a long time cause I ended up falling asleep.

Sorry I need a time skip

The day to finally meet the children had come. We stood outside the building, me of course sweating like crazy fretting that the children would hate me but Colby reassured me that it wouldn't be that way. We stepped in and approached the desk checking in before we just walked in. We were lead into a play room where all the kids were all gathered for "recess". I guess they had school here.... poor children (STAY IN SCHOOL KIDS). The worker left muttering something along the lines of "where the heck did he go this is the third time this week and it's only Monday." Whoever she was talking about I ignored and headed into the abyss of the children.

Colby's POV
I gazed fondly at Sam playing with the children but took note of what the worker said and silently dismissed myself from the room to ask about what they said.
"I um excuse me ma'am?"
The woman turned around.
"Oh yes dear?"
"I heard you talking about a "him"?"
"Oh yes there's this one kid he's not in the best mental state and we're trying to get him more comfortable with people, but of course he refuses."
"Oh.....can I see him?"
The worker seemed shocked.
"I mean if you're sure-"
"I am." I cut in.
She slowly nodded turning back around leading me down some hallways. I took note that the rooms were pretty nice for an orphanage. Glancing over her shoulder I saw the end of the corridor.
"Ok this is it." She stopped in front of the room at the very end. Opening the door slowly I peeked in to see a child no older than 13 sitting on his bed reading a book. He glanced up at me taking a double take before cramming himself in the corner of his room, the book long forgotten. His breath started to pick up and I recognized this as a panic attack. Crouching down I slowly approached him whispering calm nothing's until he was within arms reach. I slowly lifted my hand and saw him noticeably flinch. I stopped my arm and slowly continued all the while telling him to breathe for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and exhale for 8. I finally placed my hand on his shoulder and looked him in the eyes, his breathing returning to normal.

Sam's POV
I looked up to call Colby over but noticed that he was nowhere to be seen. The worker from before returned to the room.
"Excuse me, do you know where my husband went?"
"Oh yeah he went to go see a child in a room."
"Can you take me there?"
She nodded leading me to the room. I glanced in to see him calming the child down, hands grasping his fingers softly. A small smile crept onto my face as I approached.
"Hey, Colby." I must have startled him guessing by the sudden gasp that escaped him. The kid started to hyperventilate and Colby scrambled to calm him. Once he was doing better I slowly sat on the floor and introduced myself. All the while the kids gaze kept flicking back and forth from me and Colby, remaining on my husband for longer. Colby explained to me that his name was Ace. Unusual name but I liked it. A different worker walked in to tell us that our time for today was up. We said our goodbyes and promised to see him again. Well Colby did. I wasn't too sure about him.

Time Skip

Colby's POV
I sighed happily when we flung open our door and crashed on the sofa.
"I think we found the perfect child."
"You sure about that?" Sam sounded skeptical. I frowned at him.
"Yea?"
He sighed and looked down at me.
"Colby....he's a bit of a mess."
"And that's why he's perfect! I mean we're messes and we turned out alright! Kinda. But! This kid probably gets looked over by so many people and
I want to give him a chance....please." I stare my love in the eyes seeing him slowly crumble.
"Wouldn't you rather have a young, healthy child?" He whispered.
"To be honest, no." I replied with the upmost confidence. He looked shocked but slowly nodded while sighing heavily.
"I guess we can try with him."
My eyes shone and I span him in circles hugging him tightly.
"YES THANK YOU!" I smothered his face with kisses. He groaned but I could tell he was happy.
"Well schedule an appointment and go tomorrow." He said trying his hardest to get out of my grip. I had zero plans of letting go as I dragged him to the bedroom ;))) to cuddle.
