Chapter 3

" Sweetie, Margo honey wake up ," I yawned and blinked.

My mom was standing over me, her big blue eyes concerned, I sat up and yawned and stretched. She got some hair out of my face, and felt my cheeks.

" How are you feeling baby girl ?" I scooted into her hug and she stroked my hair and kissed my head.

" I'm tired mom ," she pulled back and checked me, my forehead, my eyes, my complexion, she didn't seem to like any of it.

" Oh baby you look worse, did you get any sleep ?" I nodded, I actually had gotten a good chunk of sleep and I didn't have any visits from that girl, who told me her name was Arabella.

Mom scooted out of the room as fast as she actually could and I heard her going down the squeaky stairs and into the kitchen.

' You have to stop him, or you'll die ,' I jumped and looked around, something dripped on my forehead, I swallowed and looked up. She was nailed to the ceiling dripping blood onto the bed.

" Leave me alone !!!! Why can't you leave me alone ?!?" she faded and I curled up in a ball shivering tears leaking down my cheeks.

" Ok, I got you a sandwich and some sou-" she stopped.

" Baby what's wrong ?" she set the tray down and set me in her lap and rubbed my back hugging me tightly.

" Make them go away mommy, please make them go away, why can't they go away ?" she acted like she didn't know what to do, she just held me tightly.

" Come on sweetie, try and eat ok ?" she grabbed the grilled cheese and put it in front of me, I stuffed it down my throat I was starving. I gulped down the sandwich and the soup in record time, then I just curled up in a ball in my moms lap while she told me stories and ran her fingers gently through my hair.

" How are you feeling honey ?" I looked up at my dad, he had gone out to check out his new job and look around town while Tyler just went sight seeing and he seemed to have a good time.

" I'm ok, I slept ok ," he didn't look convinced, considering when I had gone to the bathroom I had looked like crap.

My forehead had been black and blue and slightly puffy, my complexion was the color of paste and the circles under my eyes made me look like an albino raccoon.

" You don't look that much better sweetheart ," I shrugged.

" I don't know, I didn't do anything in my sleep this time it could be because I just don't feel good ," he frowned.

" Are you warm ?" he felt my face and frowned.

" Your freezing honey, Nina was she like this when she woke up ?" mom came over and felt my forehead and her eyes widened.

" No, she wasn't like this oh honey your like ice ," I looked over at Tyler, he looked sad he knew this happened a lot, when it happened he would just hold me until I was warm again.

" Oh honey your freezing come here ," dad picked me up and set me in his lap and rubbed my arms with his big hands.

" God your like ice baby girl aren't you cold ?" I shook my head and curled up in his lap and let him warm me up.

" You know it could be a genetic thing, my sister got like this all the time growing up, maybe she could come over and explain what we need to do about it ," I glanced over at mom.

Mom was taking about aunt belle, she was a lot like me but I hadn't known she could see the dead also.

" That sounds like a good idea ," dad just kept rubbing my arms softly to warm up my skin.

" There, your finally warming up ," he kissed my forehead.

" You look better too ," mom kissed my head gently.

" How about you and your brother check out town, since Tyler went today he can show you around ok honey ?" I cast my eyes down and nodded, I really didn't want to stay in this house more than I had too, Arabella scared the crap out of me.

" Hey guys its late go head up to bed ," we nodded.

Tyler took my hand and we walked upstairs, he knew I wouldn't sleep in my room so he just let me sleep with him that night. I curled up in Tyler's arms and closed my eyes finally getting some sleep that was undisturbed.
