Prologue

When my parents told my brother Tyler and I we were moving I thought it was a joke, but when I saw their faces afterwards I knew they weren't kidding at all.

" You can't be serious mom tell me this is some sort of joke ,"

But they hadn't been joking, and in two days we were packed up and driving to our new home in ridge rock Michigan.

~~~
" Come on Margo honey it's not that bad, you'll love the new house you'll get your own room and get to do whatever you want with it ," I just looked out the window and watched the place I grew up in disappear from my view forever.
" Margo come on sweetie talk to us, we know you didn't want to move but this will be good for you, it'll get you to get out there and make some friends. The change of scenery might be good for you honey ," I rested my head on the window of the car and closed my eyes sighing.
My brother nudged my thigh and I glanced over at him, my twin brother Tyler was deaf, we grew up stuck like glue so I could stick up for him. He wasn't completely deaf but he basically couldn't hear at all but he could sign and read lips.
' What are they talking about ?' I shook my head softly.
' Just talking about how moving is going to be good for me and how it will help me come out of my shell and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah ,' he smiled and tugged on my hair gently.
' They do it because their worried about you, it's like your the one who is deaf sometimes sis, you don't talk to anyone you just hang out with me,' I frowned at him.
' What's wrong with hanging out with you ?' he smiled rolled his eyes at me.
' As much as I love hanging with you, you know I do your my best friend but I make more friends and I'm your deaf twin brother ,' I put my head on his broad shoulder and closed my eyes.
' I don't know how, it hurts to speak to people, it hurts to try Tyler, I don't know how it makes me sick to my stomach thinking about having to talk to someone other than you,' he put his arm around me and kissed my forehead.
' Even if you can't hear you make friends easier than I do ,' he chuckled and shrugged.
" Margo, what are you and your brother talking about ?" I blinked and cast my gaze down at my feet.
" Nothing ," my voice came out quiet and small, it was hard to talk out loud to my parents even and that sucked.
" Sweetie you need to speak up its us," I wanted to sink into the seat cushions of the car.
" Now Nina please take it easy when we get there ok no heavy lifting please," our mom was 7 months pregnant with another set of twins, which is crazy in its own right but mom and dad said they could handle it.
" Yeah, yeah I know Jason I've done this before I know when not to lift things, i'll be fine ok ?" I sighed through my nose and just talked with Tyler which he didn't seem to mind at all, Tyler was really my only friend, who didn't judge me for anything.
' You'll be fine sis ok, I'm here to kick anyone's ass for you ,' I smiled weakly and closed my eyes letting my brothers stroking my hair lull me to sleep.
~~~

Some one shook me gently, I jumped and looked around and saw that it was my dad shaking me.

" We're here honey ," I rubbed my eyes and yawned, stretched.

I slipped out of the car and looked at our new house, it was Victorian like, it looked old and it was big. It gave me chills, I didn't like the vibe of the house.

" Come on honey start brining stuff from the truck ," I blinked and looked over at my mom, her thick auburn brown hair was in a big messy bun on top of her head, she had a box on her hip and her tummy was round and swollen with my new siblings.

I kept my eyes down and grabbed a box that had some of my stuff in it and rushed into the house, I looked around the house and peeked in rooms, the whole place just felt off to me. I walked up the slightly squeaky steps to the second floor, I picked the room with the intricate carvings on it,I peaked in and knew this would be my new room. It was spacious and it had two bay windows with a fairly large closet, overall it was a very nice room but I felt like someone was watching me.

" So what do you think of the house sweetie ," I spun, dad was leaning in the doorway of my room, he smiled at me.

" It's ... ," I looked down and shrugged, dad sighed softly.

" Sweetie, I know it's hard for you to adjust to this but it's gonna be good for us sweetie, it's gonna be good for you ," he came and wrapped his arms around me and I clung to him like a second skin, I squeezed my eyes tight when dad kissed my head gently.

" You'll be ok sweetie ," I sighed a d looked at the newly furnished room that didn't feel anything like home.

" I'll try ,"
