P.O.V. Jordan's

I hate party's. It makes me feel claustrophobic. I feel like I'm drowning and can't breathe. Surrounded by all these people I barely know bothers me.

"Jordan!" I hear a familiar voice yell excitedly over the loud music. She walks over to me with a smile.

I look at the reason I'm here, my bestfriend.

"Why aren't you enjoying yourself? We're finally seniors this summer, college is almost over for us." She reminded me.

"You know I don't like these dumb college parties Aves couldn't we have done something else?" I stared at her in question.

"But I met some guys! You'll like them come on." She takes my arm dragging me off further into the party. Not interested in the guys or the party. I follow her making sure she doesn't get into any trouble. She opens a sliding door to outside. I take in the fresh air that I so desperately needed.

Avery stumbles a bit in front of a couple guys. Clearly she's over her drinking limit.

"Here they are look one for you and one for m-" I cut her off grabbing the red cup from her hand.

"Ok you had enough of this."

She rolled her eyes while the two guys laugh. Avery tried to introduce them but it's obvious she doesn't even know their names. I speak up covering for her with a smile "I'm Jordan."

One of the guys gaped at me for a long moment ugh I hate them already, pervs. I let out an awkward cough. Why aren't there any gentlemen's around here. Maybe Avery is right it is college after all. Finally the blonde haired boy spoke up.

"I'm sorry your just really pretty. I'm Damien, I've never seen you around campus." he smiled at me making me blush. Well maybe he isn't so bad. I shook his hand about to reply when Avery interrupts us.

"And this is Asher, right?" She asked and he nodded in agreement with a small wave.

"We were actually going to go for a swim at this beach. Would you girls like to go?" Damien invited.

"Which beach?" I inquired being skeptical.

"Crystal beach" The guy named Asher smiled.

"Sure let's go!" Avery yelled before I could say anything. I gave her a look of disbelief.

"We'll be outside." Damien walked towards the exit with Asher.

I pulled Avery aside quickly. Wondering what was going through her mind. I can't believe her getting me into something like this. Well I shouldn't be surprised Avery was always getting me into something. Like the piñata incident at that random girl's birthday party.

"Are you crazy?!"

"Whoa relax what's wrong? Are you okay?" She looked me up and down quickly.

"What's wrong? Going to a beach in the middle of the night? With a couple of random guys we just met? Absolutely not." Avery watched me with a confused face like she didn't understand the problem.

"I don't know about you but that screams murder to me." I clarified for her.

"Oh come on Jordan your being paranoid. I told you not to binge watch How to Get Away with Murder all at once." She laughed putting her arm around me. I rolled my eyes. That show is so realistic anything like that can happen in real life.

"When's the last time you did anything fun for once? We've been so busy with school. Just do this one spontaneous thing with me." Avery said pleadingly.

I thought about it for a moment. She was right school had been so stressful and overwhelming we never do much of anything. I didn't want to go but I couldn't just let her go alone.

"Fine Ave" I said looking at the blonde who beamed.

"We'll be fine." She took my hand heading outside.

When we arrived at the beach there wasn't anyone there. It made sense considering it was three in the morning already. I shivered refusing to swim. Glancing down at my shorts I was regretting them already. Hearing footsteps I turn around seeing Damien walking towards me with a small smile. He handed me his jacket and I took it thanking him.

"You're welcome, it is a bit cold maybe this was a bad idea." We both laughed. I sat down looking over at Avery and Asher who were trying to make a fire.

"This isn't too bad." I said quietly staring at the stars above us. He scooted over closer to me I didn't mind I was cold.

I looked at him his green eyes shined in the dark. Damien was handsome and polite there was something about him that was different. He didn't seem like most guys. He leaned in and me being me I didn't know what to do. Suddenly we hear a yelp I quickly turn my attention to Avery who's holding her finger.

"Stupid fire." Avery grumbled while Asher laughed.

"Well at least you finally got the fire started." I said holding in my laughter.

Avery glared at me "Don't, start."

I raised my hands in surrender. Pulling the jacket around me closer. I finish the rest of my drink Damien bought us. We sat around the fire Avery sitting next to me talking as always. Tiredness hit me like a truck. Seeing Asher already fast asleep. Laying down already not caring to stay awake. My eyes grew heavy closing. I felt movement around me someone touching my hair. Then I let sleep consume me.

I felt the warm sun on my face. My eyes shot open sitting up looking around. We never went home? I guess Avery and Damien were tired too. Asher was still asleep and so was Damien near him. Peering over at the spot where Avery should have been but she wasn't there. I jump to my feet looking around.

"Avery?" I called walking down the beach and back. I went back to the boys who were just waking up.

"Have you guys seen Avery?" I asked looking at Damien who appeared more wide awake then Asher.

Damien shook his head "I was just going to ask you the same thing."

Asher seem just as confused as I was earlier. "Maybe she left somewhere and she'll be back?"

"No Avery wouldn't have gone somewhere without letting me know." I said quickly.

The boys began to help me search for her after a while we met up again.

"Doesn't seem like she's on the beach." Asher stared at me concerned.

Damien put his hand on my shoulder trying to comfort me. Which wasn't really helping.

"Should we call the police?" Asher suggest but he sounded far away.

How could she just disappear like that? My heart began to pound as I started to fear the worse. My bestfriend who I was just talking to last night gone. I couldn't believe it, I didn't want to.

She was gone.
