Uncertainty

Who gave you the right,
to haunt my mind.
With those endearing hazel eyes,
what else must I find?

I know there is more,
your mystery is forbidden-
yet, such a fruit I crave.
Is hidden

You walk me home
A shabby, worn down place-
I've yearned to escape...
Then you leave.

And it is when you leave,
my thoughts wander off.
Wishing I could've stayed,
as a vibrant trophy- for your display.

What a fool I am,
I knew how deep that water was.
Like a fish drawn to bait
Only some can relate.

You linger on dreary nights.
The fire you've sparked will not fade,
I am now a blade- dull no more.
You've sharpened my senses

Now my senses crave your taste,
honey with a spritz of nicotine.
You are my cigarette,
My bittersweet poison.

Some days I imagine you-
not some, most.
By my side, laughing uncontrollably.
How dare thee, in so many ways--
entrance me!

I've been trapped.
Thick eyelashes,
hugs that hum, forever.
You are my endeavor.

This poem isn't enough to describe your brilliance.
