Ch.31 Expect the Unexpected

"Didn't my grandpops withdraw all of it when Cassy died?"

"Nope, he stopped caring about his share when Cassy died" She replied hastily.

"Grandpops is rich yeah, but he doesn't know me and I don't have plans on meeting him because he disowned my father, which means, he disowned me" I reasoned out.

"Well you have to meet him, you need to do it for Allison and for your future" she said seriously.

"What's my grandpops have to do with my love life?"

"My my my Salty, dad is against you because you're penniless and you're not male"

"Ouch" I said with a fake hurt tone.

"But if you can make your grandpops to care about his shares in this school, things might change" she said confidently. She looks like a lawyer, she's so cute.

"How?"

"Dad may not like you but for him, business is business. It's in his blood you know" she said before winking at me. I finally got her point after a moment of thinking.

"So what should I do?"

"Go to your grandpops and do what I told you earlier"

"Okay, if ever grandpops will acknowledge me, what's that got to do with Allison and me? She already said yes to Henry. You know that she is not the type of person that would take back what she already said" I explained. She just smirked at me with sparkling eyes, as if a brilliant idea suddenly came up.

"Allison don't need to take back what she said, but Henry will" I wonder what's going through her mind right now, this girl have lots of ideas in her mind.

"How? Tell me" I asked her with amused curiosity.

"I'll tell you all of it when you're done with your first task, focus on that first"

"We will call this project Allison!" She added seriously. I laughed because she really looked funny, she's like a detective now. I'm happy that I met her, I'm happy that she became part of my life.

"Missy, you don't know how much you make me happy and sad at the same time. I want to say thank you and I love you, you're the best" I said before pulling her for a tight hug.

"You're very welcome Salty" she said while tapping my back. 

I'm still afraid of losing her as my girlfriend, but she's right, we have to make things right for the three of us. I gently pushed her away and cupped her face afterwards.

"I don't know what would become of me if I didn't meet you" I said before kissing her face multiple times.

I'm nervously standing now in front of a steel gate, hesitant if I'm going to press the buzzer or just walk away. The gate is a bit far from the house but I can still see it because it's very big. I decided to press the buzzer after a few minutes of contemplating.

"Who are you?" I panicked when someone spoke but I don't see anyone.

"I... I'm Salt Hastings" I introduced while stuttering.

"Do you have an appointment with Mr Bernardo Montreal?"

"I am Salt Hastings, daughter of Frank Montreal" I said nervously. 

There's no response after that, but the gate opened and it closed the moment I walked inside the gate.

I smiled when I saw the maid in front of the house. The shock on her face is so obvious when she greeted me with a good morning.
