28 | Ferris wheel kisses and Elliot's plan

"What is it?" Logan asked, his voice low and serious now,

"Elliot's men are here".

My heart dropped for the second time today and this time for a completely different reason,

Elliot was dangerous, he had killed a man just to threaten us and with so many people around here I was anxious about not only the safety of my friends but about the safety of the public as well.

"They've got guns and they're planning something" Val said,

By then we had reached the bottom of the Ferris wheel and those fleeting seconds of happiness up there with Logan were gone, now replaced with pure terror.

Something is going to happen tonight and it's wasn't going to be pretty.

As soon as we were let off the ride we met up with the rest of the group, Mia wrapped her arms around herself and I stood next to her giving her a hug because right now she looked like she was panicking.

When we pulled apart she gave me a tight smile but held onto my arm tightly, she was obviously scared like many people would be in this same situation.

They just didn't know it yet.

"What's the plan?" Logan asked,

"I say we grab one of them and force them to spill" Kasey replied,

"We should evacuate everyone" Will suggested, 

They both had very good points that we couldn't disagree with.

If we took in one of Elliot's men we could stop whatever he was doing, but if whatever he was doing was inevitable then we should get as many people as possible out of here while we could.

"We could split up?" Ethan offered and Logan nodded,

"There are enough of us, we might have a shot" Logan stated and the rest of us nodded,

"Alex, Mia, Will, Kasey, Grayson, Ethan, you guys evacuate as many people as possible while Val and I are going to find out what Elliot is planning, if anything gets too dangerous get in your cars and drive to my place, the police can handle it from there, Mia and Alex are going to stay over as well as the rest of you; it's too dangerous to be alone tonight" Logan ordered and with that we split up.

I grabbed Logan's arm before he left, "I'm coming with you" I told him,

"No you're not" Logan stated, "It's too dangerous"

"I'm coming with you, suck it up" I told him and I followed Valentino towards the crowd.

I heard Logan groan behind me before following after us.

We reached a dark alleyway away from the crowd where you could make out three figures in the shadows. Valentino and Logan walked right up to them.

"Hey!" Valentino yelled they took an intimidating step forward.

"Where's Elliot?" Logan said to them sternly,

And then they all pulled out guns.

My heart pounded in my chest and Logan pulled me behind him,

"Where is Elliot?" he repeated, louder and slower this time.

"Well here's a surprise" Elliot said walking forward from the shadows,

This is something you'd see straight out of an action movie, damn.

"What are you doing here?"

"We're just having a little fun"

"There are innocent people here," I told him, trying to mask the fear in my voice as I stepped in front of Logan.
