Kayde's POV

"Kayde! Breakfast!" My dad shouts and I go downstairs and he's at the breakfast table reading his newspaper while my mom finishes plating up the food.

"Anything interesting in the news today?" I ask and he shakes his head. "Not really"

"Do you have any plans for today?" I turn to my mom. "Nope. I don't have a job anymore remember?... not that you care" she mumbles that last part under her breath as she walks with breakfast and as always she puts the first plate in the empty space at the table then hands the rest of us ours.

She's done this ever since I can remember. Every meal time she makes and extra plate and makes a space at the table for Leanne and every birthday and Christmas they always get her gifts and put them under the tree. It's like my parents think she's going to just randomly turn up one day and everything's going to fall into place.

"I'm gonna be a little late home today. I have baseball practice after school" I tell them.

"You sure that's where your really going?" My mom mutters. "How long are you gonna keep doing this? I'm not going to apologise about that stupid camera. It wasn't right spying on her like that and..."

"No! What's not right is you interfering" my mom cuts me off "And how dare you try and make excuses for what you did! That's all we had left of her and now we'll never see her again and..."

"And that's her choice! You can't just spy on somebody because the don't want to see you and..."

"Don't you have school to go to?" My dad cuts in. "But, I haven't finished my breakfast yet"

"Your gonna miss your bus" he frowns and I sigh heavily, taking the hint.

When I got back from the hotel my parents first reaction was to flip out at me, which I expected, but since then neither if them have barely spoke to me. I know me taking that camera out of Leanne's office really hurt them, but I'm not sorry I did it. They had no right to spy on her like that. If she wanted them to see her then she would and they need to just except it and quit stalking her like this.

I can't imagine what Leanne is going through right now, but all this would have been a huge shock for her and them acting all crazy and trying to stalk her by hiding camera's in her office isn't going to help. All that's gonna do is freak her out and cause her to run even further away from us.

Michael's POV

"You really don't have to come with me. I'll be ok by myself" Leanne says as she getting ready. "I'm not leaving you to do this alone"

"It's just a grave. It's no big deal" she shrugs "Of course it's a big deal. Their your parents and..."

"Do you think I should have dressed them up a little more?" She turns to Annabelle and Ryan. "They look fine just as they are" I smile, watching the two of them crawling around.

They've only recently started crawling, but already their getting competitive and trying to race each other.

"Do you mind if we stop and get some flowers on the way?" Leanne asks and I nod "of course. Are you sure your gonna be ok?" I ask softly and she nods and smiles slightly, but I can see in her eyes she's really nervous.

Leanne hasn't been to Ryan and Anna's grave since she found out about Carley and she's been really nervous about going back.

We've talked briefly about Carley and she still doesn't know what she wants to do and I can tell that apart of her wants to speak to her, but whenever we've spoken about her Leanne seems to get this look of guilt, like she's done something wrong by mentioning her name and changes the subject.
