Flashback

What the heck am I doing here?

Somebody please hit me in the face or pinch me.

This is just a bad dream. I keep telling myself that.

I find myself inside a room with six other guys and eight ladies. These female freshmen all look lovely yet reserved. Their fair skin, eye-catching figure, and resonating vibrancy fill the room with an intoxicating mood. I must've done something good to deserve such a view.

The first year guys are equally and confidently good-looking, dapper in their uniform (though we're all wearing the same thing) and have a certain charm that could surely make any girl melt with just one look. I've never seen such a group that can make you feel unsure about your manhood.

Hey, I don't look so bad myself!

I have bronzed skin. I am tall enough to get noticed whenever I enter a room. One can consider my facial features striking. And my body? Well, I regularly work out at the gym. This might've been the reason why I'm here. But I still don't know if I can handle this.

I'm just an ordinary guy. I entered this university because, of course, it's one of the most prestigious schools in Bangkok. Luckily, for me I got in.

As for my major, I have always dreamed of becoming an engineer. Getting in was just the first step. I know I have to work my ass off and keep my focus to reach the finish line.

Like I said, I'm ordinary. I enjoy hanging out with my friends drinking.

I also go on dates.

At one point, I discovered something about myself. I can date either a guy or a girl.

I fall for the person and not with the gender. I have never been serious about any relationship though. I guess I haven't found the right one yet.

"Is everybody here?" the staff head shouts.

Ooops! Going back to this 'nightmare' that I'm in now.

He calls us one by one and said, "Let's just wait for one more."

You may have already guessed. I am chosen to be the representative of the Engineering College to be their Moon. This is such an honor as it is a huge responsibility. I can't believe I accepted it.

While waiting for whoever that person is, a couple of stylists are assisting us in putting on some make up or just fixing our hair. I believe the activity for today is just a photo shoot.

Great! I can break away from this uncomfortable situation early today.

My seniors might understand my case, but I believe it's still my obligation to attend the hazing later. Yes, aside from the Campus Star and Moon Competition, I also have other duties as a freshman. I am not sure which one is more stressful.

The door of the hall opens suddenly, and a tall guy appears.

I admit, even for a guy like me, I find him attractive. So attractive it's intimidating.

Clear white skin, high pointed nose and a well-toned body.

It is just like watching a romantic TV series where the male lead enters the scene and sweeps everyone off their feet. He looks perfect, this alpha male. And the rest of us guys are left here looking and feeling like wallflowers.

He must be the one we're waiting for. Wow! Such a prince! He's out of breath though, so I guess he also wanted to be here on time but couldn't.

"We will start in a few minutes!" the assistant head staff announces.

What's so extraordinary about this guy?

I feel a little anxious seeing him enter the room and dazzle everybody in a heartbeat.

Including me.

No it's not meant to be like this, not what I planned at all. I don't want to feel like this, so that makes it all your fault.

I guess this is where my journey as the Engineering Moon starts.

So this is where it all starts.

The Star and Moon Competition 2016.

From here on, I'll be including lines (italicized & underlined) from some of my favorite songs that exactly depicts the main character's dead-on feelings or thoughts running in his head.

Feel free to comment if you know the song!

Q: Who do you think the "tall guy " is?

I hope you all enjoy reading. Violent reactions and additional subtractions are appreciated.
