"Stop" a voice yelled, urging me not to go through with this.
I had had enough, I was sick of being the weird kid, or the depressed one, I just wanted to end it. I go back to walking. I can see the cliff now, only a minute more and I'll never have to deal with life again.
"Please" there she is again. She followed me for some strange reason. But something in her voice caused me to stop I'm my tracts. She sounded so desperate.
The girl, noticing that this is her one chance follows up with, "just hear me out."
I begin to keep walking until she spoke again.
"Why, why would you do this to yourself?"
Only a few more steps. I laugh to myself, of course, the one person to try and save me does it when I'm just a few steps from killing myself.
"Think about what you're missing out on in life."
She's tried so hard; I decided to give her the decency of an answer. That's better than what I got In life.
"What am I missing out on then?"
I wait to hear her response, but she doesn't say what I'm expecting. With one word, she changed my life.
"You're missing me."
