To Kill // Part 2

Start from the beginning

"My God, woman! You have one hell of vocal chords. Maybe I should try them next. What do you think?" The man smirked for the hundredth time, throwing her own words back at her when she'd held me exactly like that not few minutes ago.

Natalie whimpered in reply, her head slumping forward in exhaustion but the man's tight grip on her throat held her up, forcing her to look at him.

He just chuckled, a noise so terrifying that I hoped I'd never get on his wrong side.

"It's not so fun when you're on the other end, is it?"

Nobody dared answering him as he drew the knife from Natalie's shoulder, dark blood tripping down her pale skin and onto the concrete.

"I'm really sorry but I'm just equipped with a knife so bear this with me, babe."

His knife trailed her skin again, searching for the finest place to strike again. And I realized with a jolt that he was doing nothing but using words to terrorize them.

There were methods of tortures far worse than what he was doing that didn't even require a knife. Trust me, I knew about them first hand but this was nothing.

Sure, a knife wound can draw blood and inflict pain but it'd all be momentarily. His patterns for striking were pure flesh areas that once stitched, left nothing but a minor scar behind. But then again, why waste effort to cause harm when his mouth was doing the same.

"I've heard certain female parts are quite sensitive but I never got the chance to test the theory. Do you think we can do it?"

I froze upon hearing his soft voice, my eyes widening in horror even though the words were not directed at me.

I hated Natalie, I did. I detested her with everything in my being and I wouldn't hesitate to put a criminal like her behind bars.

But this, this was taking it to a whole another level. Level that people with sanity tend to stay away from.

It felt like all every insect, every bird around us stopped breathing from the dreadfulness of his words, waiting for it to occur. But he never got his chance.

"Stop!" Nathan's shout echoed around the empty road, his body trembling with trepidation of what was about to happen.

The man picked his head up from his art—Natalie's scars— his lips curled upwards in a smirk as he tilted his head to the side, feigning a confused look.

"What was that? I don't think I heard it clearly. Would you be so kind to repeat?" The man chuckled, his hand loosening its tight grip on Natalie's neck, allowing her to fall on the road.

"I said stop, please." Nathan sighed, eyes pleading as they trailed his sister's now slumped figure on the road. He gulped whispering the next words.

"Stop hurting her. That's my sister. Please."

His words which he'd hoped would help him gain some sympathy points with the man did the direct opposite.

In a swift, clean motion the man ripped Natalie from her short lived freedom, hoisting her up. His right hand coiled around her neck as he lifted her up in the air effortlessly.

She chocked slightly, her body suddenly forgetting its fatigue as it fought for survival as she moved her arms in vain while trying to let her feet touch the road underneath to gain some support but he wasn't having it.

Using his unimaginable, incredible height, the man raised his arm a little, hoisting Natalie's whole body up in air.

With the little light dancing on his face, his eyes flashing with fire so furious that it could've burned the whole area if he wanted, his entire form shaking to maintain control within, he truly looked like a raging demon.
