Lucas felt his heart skip a beat as the boy gripped his upper arm, preventing him from leaving. What could Tyrathane possibly want to talk about? Slowly the vampire turned around to face the boy who stood just a hairs breadth taller than him. When he did, though, he found himself standing much closer to the youth than he thought he'd been. A soft gasp escaped his lips and Lucas stumbled backwards to try to put some distance between them.

Tyrathane followed, though. He followed Lucas until the vampire hit his back against the wall. The human put his hand up against the wall, right next to Lucas' shoulder and head. Leaning down, he reached out with his other hand and took hold of the vampire's chin gently between his fingers. Heat coursed its way all along Lucas' face as he stared at Tyrathane.

"You're quite adorable when you're blushing. Is it always this easy?"

"Sh-Shut up," he stammered, his voice barely coming out a whisper. What was wrong with him? Was he really so strung out that the boy in front of him could just do whatever he wanted and Lucas wouldn't be able to do anything about it? As it was, he was allowing Tyrathane to get so close to him, and he hadn't said a word or done anything to stop the boy.

"For all your barking... you sure don't have a bite," Tyrathane commented with a soft laugh. He shifted his hand from Lucas' chin to brush through his hair. The touch sent shivers down his spine.

"What did you want to talk about?"

He tried his best to sound cold and uninviting, like he didn't like what was going on. However, the vampire was pretty sure that it didn't come out that way. To add to it, he wasn't even pushing Tyrathane away from him. At the back of his mind he was secretly enjoying the proximity and the touch, though he would never admit it openly.

"I didn't."

"You... What? Then what the hell are we still here for?!" Lucas snapped, looking sharply into deep green eyes.

"Because," Tyrathane's grin was wide as he leaned closer. The vampire pressed against the wall, unsure of what the other boy was going to do next. Lips closed around his, a bit of pressure against either side of his jaw opened his mouth and the next thing he knew... Tyrathane's tongue was playing with his.

There was something else too. Did the boy... have a tongue ring? So... hot...damnit...Lucas thought as he allowed Tyrathane to kiss him. His breath was getting shorter by the second and soon, he couldn't help but start to kiss the human back. Tyrathane pulled away, leaving Lucas absolutely breathless as he leaned against the wall.

"I wanted to do that. Though, I have to admit... I wasn't entirely sure how well it would go. I was pretty sure you would have smote me where I stood. Guess I was right all along," the boy grinned, he came back and kissed Lucas again before pulling back to speak once more, "About my being your type, that is."

"Whatever," Lucas retorted. He lunged forward, wrapping his arms around Tyrathane's neck and locking his mouth over the humans again.

When was the last time he'd felt like this? Felt... whole? It had been too long, almost to the point where he'd nearly forgotten what the feeling was like. He didn't want to let go of Tyrathane, he didn't want to have to leave that moment. However, at the back of his mind, he felt terrified. What if he lost another lover to the Stalkers? What if they found Tyrathane and killed him just like Ahndrai? Lucas knew he wouldn't be able to live through something like that a second time.

The cafeteria was loud, the students that mingled and crowded the small space made Lucas feel like a sardine in a package. He disliked the fact that everyone was so close together. However, he pushed it aside as the boy who was tilting his chair back dangerously on two legs spoke, getting his attention.

"Why are you not the school president anymore?"

Lucas frowned at Tyrathane, "Because."

"Did you think that it was useless? Because Ahndrai died?"

To that, the vampire bristled. His gaze glowered at the human sitting across from him.

Lucas' jaw tightened as well as his fists. It was everything he had not to snap at Tyrathane. Whether the boy noticed or not, Lucas couldn't tell. It seemed that no matter what, the human was always relaxed, regardless of the situation. It was his damned ego.

"That's none of your business."

"I should think it is. Especially if we're dating."

"We are not dating!" Lucas hissed in response, leaning across the table and keeping his voice low.

Tyrathane let the chair fall on all fours; he turned his green eyes to stare at Lucas as he leaned on the table as well. He was really close to the vampire's face, but Lucas didn't back away from him.

"Then what was last night? I'm pretty sure that counts as my confession and your 'yes'."

Lucas' face flushed as he stared at Tyrathane's grinning face. The boy certainly had a way with words, and his attitude said that he knew it too. Hell, Lucas couldn't even come up with a proper retort.

"Whatever. Just...stop asking," Lucas said, sitting back in the chair. From the corner of his eye he saw Tyrathane's grin and knew that the boy wasn't going to stop.
