Though Andrew is still a little bothered after his conversation with Daddy Edward, he did not let Gara notice his worries. Instead he makes sure that he always finds time for Gara and AJ.
"Nakatulog na?" Gara asked as she waits Andrew by the pool
"Yeah, napagod kakalangoy" Andrew replied
"Ang agang nakatulog, siguradong maaga tayong bubulabugin nyan bukas" Gara said
"Daddy promises him an early breakfast at McDo, just the two of them and Yaya of course" Andrew said
"Bakit hindi tayo kasama?" Gara asked
"Kasi wala na daw silang bonding moment ni AJ simula nung nag swimming lessons kami. Nagtatampo na si Grandpa" Andrew said laughing
"Eh kasi naman, kapag weekdays you get to bond with AJ naman, tapos pati ba naman weekend aagawan mo si Tito" Gara said
"Anong oras na?" Andrew asked.
"Pass nine" Gara replied
"Maaga pa naman, let's grab some coffee, malapit lang naman starbucks dito" Andrew said
"Coffee at 9pm? Baka hindi tayo makatulog nyan" Gara protested
"Eh di mas maganda" Andrew whispered.
"What did you just said?" Gara asked
"Wala po!" Andrew replied smiling "Ang sabi ko mas maganda sana if you'll not turn me down. I want to spend more time with you. Hindi mo ba ako nami-missed?" he asked
"Aysus kinonsensya mo pa ako" Gara said
"Sige na Love, spend some more time with me, I miss our time alone" Andrew said
"Oo na nga naconvince mo na ako. Wait here I'll just get my cardigan" she said.
After a few minutes, Andrew drives themselves to the nearest starbucks.
"How are you?" Andrew asked as they settle at the corner side of the coffee shop.
"As if naman hindi mo alam ang loads ko to asked me that question" Gara saif chuckling
"I know that's why I am asking you that question" Andrew said.
"Kaya ko naman, kung yan ang worry mo. Sanay na rin na ako sa ganitong ka-hectic na schedule" Gara said
"But you don't have time for yourself anymore" Andrew said
"Bakit pangit na ba ko Andrew?" Gara asked
"Saan naman nanggaling yun? Kahit kelan hindi ka papangit sa paningin ko. Kahit mag-taong grasa ka pa, para sa akin ikaw pa rin ang pinakamaganda” Andrew declared which gains him a sweet smile from Gara. “Ang ibig ko lang sabihin, wala ka nang time to relax and enjoy life" Andrew said
"When AJ came, for me, enjoying life defines now as taking care of AJ, he is my life. I'm sure alam mo yan" Gara said
"And, I am not questioning that. What I am saying is mag-unload ka kahit konti. Hire some more people sa hardware store." Andrew replied
"I don't have funds for additional people" Gara said
"I beg to disagree, nakita ko ang financial statement mo. Conservative investor ka lang kasi" Andrew said.
"What are you trying to say" Gara confusedly asked
"Yung hardware store, sa iyo na nakapangalan yun di ba" Andrew asked
"Yes, binili ko kay Tatay nung time na halos malaki ang liabilities versus assets. Grabe naubos ang saving ko dun buti na lang I had an offer from Tito Edward to work with Jake in Malaysia" Gara said
"Why don't we increase its capital for expansion?" Andrew suggested
"Wala akong pang increase ng capital, baka maubos na naman ang savings ko and walang matira for AJ" Gara said
"Don't worry about AJ, nandito na ako" Andrew said
"I know you have more resources than I am, but I also want my own share for AJ" Gara said
"Please don't get offended Love, that is not what I am trying to say" Andrew explained
"Sabihin mo na kasi kung ano gusto mong sabihin" Gara irritably said
"Am I pissing you off?" Andrew asked smiling
"Yes you are, at nakakatawa ka pa talaga" Gara said
"Natutuwa lang naman ako. I missed the pissed-off Gara. You haven't change my love, even if you're pissed off you still maintains your elegance and poise" Andrew commented
Gara smiled at what Andrew just declared “Inuuto mo ko” she said smiling while sipping her coffee
“Of course not” Andrew objected
“O sige na napakilig mo na ako, sabihin mo na yung gusto mong sabihin” Gara said still smiling and blushing
“You did not hear me correctly Love, I said ‘we increase the capital’, I want to put an investment to your hardware store maybe an amount equivalent to a 60/40 share. Then we will hire experience people to manage the store” Andrew explained
“Why, is there something wrong with me managing the store?" Gara asked
“Nothing, in fact you and Winona are managing it really well” Andrew said “I just want to unburden you a little, in preparation for AJ’s big school. Si Winona rin, she'll be giving birth soon, mahahati na yung oras nya. Jaime needs someone to assist him” Andrew explain
“Well I guess you made your point. Sige I’ll think about it” Gara said
“And keep in your mind na walang naman ipagbabago. Both our shares will go to AJ eventually, so there is nothing to loose” Andrew added
“Yun eh kung walang ibang mag-claim ng properties mo” Gara said.
“Ano sabi mo?” Andrew asked
“Let’s say you marry someday and had children, syempre they have to split with ni AJ dun shares of stock mo sa store. Hindi natin masabi, baka magchange ka ng heart and falls in love with someone else” Gara explained
“Ano bang pinagsasasabi mo? I will never have a change of heart, much more fall in love with some else” Andrew protested then suddenly his eyes glow “Sandali nga, is this a reverse psychology? Are you insinuating that you are ready to settle down?” Andrew asked smiling
“Hoy, wala akong sinabing ganyan” Gara exclaimed which make the people on the other table to look at them
“Pero yun ang gusto mong sabihin, hindi mo lang ako madiretso” Andrew teases
“Sa akin ba dapat manggaling yun?”Gara said her eyes widen
“So yun na nga ang ibig mong sabihin”Andrew said chuckling
“Hay naku Andrew, umalis na tayo dito, nakakahiya pinagtitinginan na tayo oh” Gara said then pulls Andrew out of the coffee shop
“Sandali lang, I need confirmation kung tama yung iniisip ko” Andrew continue teasing
“Tumigil ka na Andrew Garcia, naiirita na ako sa yo” Gara said
“Sige hindi na, wag ka nang magalit” Andrew said as they walk to his car holding hands.
In reality, Andrew already got the confirmation that he needs on how to give assurance to Gara, just exactly what he has in mind.
