Arin's POV
"Arin, what the hell is that?!", Dan asked me in between a giggle. "It's the bakery, dude. Oh how nice, she left me a slice of her delicious cake.", I replied to him. "Yeah, her cake was pretty good.", he said, I'm still worried about the ending.
I went in the bakery and Dan saw blood everywhere. "Oh god, looks like a committed murder in there.", he groaned. "Is this the end?", I asked myself. I looked over to see a note from Charlotte. The screen went black. " Yep, it's over, next time on----", Dan said. "Wait wait wait, I wanna read this note.", I interrupted.
"To my only friend...." I read. "Oh gosh!", Dan sighed. "When you're reading this, I will already be dead....", I continued to read, here goes Dan's feelings. " W-what?!", he questioned, a quiver in tone.
Dan's POV
"My shop will probably look quite messy.... I have decided that I'll go to the back room and die, so you don't have to look at my corpse.", Arin read. My eyes started to water, I could hardly imagine this. "Why did she die?", I asked with more quivering. " I'm sorry I couldn't be more patient in waiting for you. But that doesn't matter now." , Arin read.
"This is just sad, my heart....it's broken.", I say. " I know, Danny." , he replied. I didn't want to read it no longer. "What matters is that you're here. Against all odds, you managed to escape the prison.", Arin read, "I'm aware that this may seem like a bad ending to this story, but you're here."
"I don't wanna witness this if you die, Arin!", I cried. "Dan don't worry, I'll be here as long as possible.", he said to me trying to calm me. "A-Arin!", I choked out. "Please don't cry, Danny, it's ok.", he cooed. I couldn't help it, I broke down crying so hard. I was scared, afraid of death, afraid of my future.
"You're here, and I have baked another cake for you. I'm not sure how fresh it will be when you find this, as for all I know you never will....", Arin continued. "Arin, please!", I wept. ".....but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I wish you best of luck, Charlotte.", he continued.
I cried harder. I can't imagine what a wreck I'd be without Arin. "What a sad ending there.", he sighed rubbing my back. I looked at him teary-eyed and explained some things.
"Arin, I can't imagine what'd I be without you....my world would be crushed if I find a letter from you like Charlotte's. My heart would be completely broken, never to be fixed ever again....if I lost you, my best friend.", I say. He looked at me pretty worried.
"Aww Danny, I'd feel the same about you.", he said, "but I'm not worried about the future, it'll come when it comes." I couldn't handle my sadness now, I'm such an emotional wreck, just looking at him makes me feel worse!
I got up from the couch and walked the door. "Dan, wait!", Arin cried. I went out and slammed the door, I stormed out the office hiding my face. I didn't say a word to anyone. I got to my car and drove away, to a place where no one, not even Arin, could find me.
