"I don't know about that." Nathan said in a serious voice. "From the way you were looking at her the other night, I'm pretty sure you'd love to have her climb over you."
"Stop it!" I could only throw my hands up in the air, exasperated. "This isn't funny!"
"It is a little bit funny." Mr Blackbourne buttered a piece a toast. He didn't even bother to look up as he turned traitor.
I couldn't believe it, was he seriously joking around? Was I living in some kind of alternate universe? "Even you?"
I had been betrayed.
He bit into his toast in response, not even dignifying me with an answer.
They'd all pay, of that I was certain.
I was too angry and flustered to say anything else at the moment, because I knew that they'd find some way to turn whatever I said into something inappropriate or embarrassing.
Mr Blackbourne chewed the toast, and the laughter at the table gradually died down since I was no longer giving them ammunition to use against me. I silently watched as Gabriel climbed back into his seat, still chuckling.
Gabriel. He started this whole thing.
I narrowed my eyes at him, he seemed so pleased with himself at the moment. So happy.

I was in the middle of plotting out the greatest revenge scheme ever, when a noise at the door drew the attention of our group. Before I could think it over, I found myself on my feet and rushing out to the hallway along with the rest of my brothers.
This entire time I hadn't gotten the feeling that anything was wrong, but then again I was not always spot on about these sort of things. That was one constant at least, the unpredictability of my ability.
