Chapter 17: Neon City

Selena looked at each and everyone of her healed Pokemon. they were ready to battle, while she was nervous and worried

"They are too strong... nothing compared to the challengers in the mansion... Maybe we should stop..." her Pokemon frowned

"Do you wanna continue?" they nodded. "alright, i'll do it for you all!" she smiled. She returned all her Pokemon and ran back towards the field. She wondered who she might battle this time, probably rosa.

The audience cheered loudly as they saw Selena walk back to her original place. she was feeling more nervous then usual. No one was near her to wish her luck or give advice...she sighed waiting for her challenger

Everyone cheered louder seeing N walk up the field. he was the last person she would expect to see and battle

"Hello there..." he smiled calmly fixing his black and white cap. she was too nervous to say anything "I've been expecting this day to come one day, believe it or not, when your eevee told me positive thoughts about you. i actually wanted to hear the voices of your other Pokemon, but when i was about to ask, you glared at me and hurt my insides"

"Did i?? I'm sorry..." He raced his hand to defend himself

"Theres no need, let me hear the voices of your Pokemon! Go scizor!" he smiled calling out a red bug like Pokemon. She gulped her saliva nervously

"G-go froslass..." she called nervous. frolass came out pumped and ready posing sassy at the male scizor. scizors eyes widened as if he was blushing, but it wasn't at all noticeable

"Use bullet punch!" N ordered. scizor had speeded up at the speed of light and punched froslass right in the stomach sending her to the wall flying passing Selena. her eyes widened at scizor

Froslass hit the solid wall hard making a dent on it. she was knocked out and slid off to the ground. Selena wanted to give up, she couldn't stand to see her Pokemon get hurt so badly for the first time.

She returned her fainted pokemon and started to turn around to run off. the shadow triad appeared in front of her.

"What do you think your doing...?" shade asked holding zorua.

"You cant leave lord N in the middle of a battle! this is the Pokemon league, not training!" dark shouted holding umbreon

"Thats right Selena...you cant give up now...we believe in you..." shadow comfort holding eevee.

"Its too hard...i cant...i don't want to let my family get hurt more then what they are use to. N is the third challenger! that means i have two more to battle! i don't stand a chance!" Selena worried holding froslass's poke ball tightly

"Thats no reason to quit..." zorua said frowning. "You are the best trainer in the world! and this is your chance to prove that!" she said saying 'in the world' over dramatically

"Eeve eev!" eevee shouted

"She said 'do it for us! think of your pranking ways!' " zorua translated. the audience and N waited patiently.

"Alright" she sighed grinning. she ran back to the field more confident. the shadow triad disappeared with her Pokemon

"Are you ready?" N asked calmly. scizor waited patiently to start the battle.

"As i'll ever be!" She looked at ninetales pokeball. she had to think, ninetales has incredible speed, not as fast as scizor but it was pretty close "ninetales...know the plan" she smiled down her ball and released her golden fire fox

Her 9 tails fired up individually, this was never seen by Selena before "niiine!!" ninetales cried out to scizor

"Beautiful!" N smiled excitedly. "now scizor, use aerial ace" he ordered calmly.
