I was relieved that I didn't have to go outside when the time comes. When we run out of resources, Will and Rebecca will be the ones to get more. I also assumed that Chris was relieved too since he didn't want to go either. We all stood in the room and looked at Will and Rebecca, who were looking at us. The silence got akward. Chris stepped in to break the silence. "Class dismissed I guess." Chris told the group. The group nodded and slowly filed out of the room.

I went back into the principal's office and laid on the couch. I looked through my backpack for something to pass the time. All I found in there was my phone charger, which would come in handy, the book I was reading, my earbuds, my school books and pencil case, and a video game I was going to exchange for another one because I beat the game. I decided to take out the book and continued to readi it from where I left off.

After about half an hour of reading I looked up from my book and saw Max looking in the drawers of the principal's desk. "You must be really into that book." Max observed while looking through some files. "Yeah." I replied. I got up to see what files she was looking at. "Student files?" I asked her. She nodded. "My student file. Do you want to see yours?" She asked. I hated to snoop around in other people's business, but it was my student file. "Sure." I replied to Max. She skimmed through the other files in the drawer. She saw my name on a file and she pulled it out. "There you are." She said. I looked at the file. GPA is 3.8. Alright. No special notes. My picture was on the file. Not my best shot. There was also a brief description about me. I read it out loud. "Riley is a good representation of Blackwood high school. She expresses her passion in the technology program taught by Mr.Gram. She is aware of the goals and objectives she needs to complete in order to get the degree in Mathematics she hopes for. To help with that degree, she attends and after-school math program." I finished. "That after school math program is the reason we arn't at home right now." Max said, I sad tone in her voice. "Well at least you have a pretty good student record." She added, bringing the conversation back to a lighter subject. "Hey, see if you can find Rachel's file in there." I said to Max. Max looked at me and sighed. "Let's just hope she doesn't walk in and see us looking at her file." Max told me. Okay, now we were definitely looking through other people's things. Oh well. Max eventually found Rachel's file. We looked at it. There was a red card attached to the file. It read 'Rachel has been suspended for 2 weeks due to seriously injuring another student, giving her a fractured skull.' "Oh my gosh." Max said, sounding almost afraid of Rachel. But I can't blame her. I would be too. "Maybe it's a good thing that Rebecca held Rachel back when Chris dissed her." I said. "Rachel would have killed him!" Max nodded. "Just remember that she did that though. Because if you go outside and you are partners with her, then you know she can fight." Max noticed. "Smart." I said. "Who's file next?" Max asked me. We have Will and Rebecca's files to go through still. "How about Will's?" I asked. "Will's it is." Max replied. She looked through the files until she found Will's file. We looked at it. "He has a spotless file." Max noticed. She was right. No special notes and a 4.0 GPA. "I can see why he likes to play 'leader' of this group." I said. He was smart and he knew it. "He played leader until Rachel started accusing him of being one." Max said. "True." I agreed. Max put Will's file back and took out Rebecca's. We both looked at the file. Her file was almost spotles. 4.0 GPA. The only thing was a green note that was attached to her file. "Rebecca will not be attending school for 2 months starting in November of this year" I read out loud. "I wonder why she isn't going to come to school starting in November." Max said. "Vacation maybe?" I guessed. "But she has a 4.0 GPA and she probably knows that going on Vacation would probably give her a ton of work to do when she comes back." Max said. "Then I have no clue." I said.

Max put all the files back where she found them and she went to the couch she had been sleeping on. She looked around the room. "How about we play a game?" She asked. I had pretty much nothing to do. "Sure. What game?" I asked. "Let's play hide and seek." She suggested. Hide and seek would be fun in the entire school. "Sure!" I replied excited. "The rules are you have to count to 30 and that you can hide anywhere inside the school." Max told me. "Yeah, because I was planning on hiding outside." I joked. She started laughed. "Ok, do you want to hide first?" She asked. "Alright." I replied. I nodded signaling that I was ready. She started counting and I walked quickly out of the room. I looked around, quickly thinking about where I should hide. The first thing that came to my mind was a spot in the library where miscellaneous books were piled up. So I sprinted to the library and ran to the spot. I sat in the spot behind books. "7,6,5,4,3,2,1! Ready or not, here I come!" I heard Max yell. I try my best to be quiet. I heard someone going up the stairs to the top level of the school. I assumed it was Max. I was temporarily safe. I was looking at the books around me when suddenly a book came flying over the pile of books and almost hit me. I bent my head down and the book landed behind me. "What on earth?"I wispered to myself. Soon another book came flying at me and it hit my head. "Ow!" I yelled. I peered over the pile of books and I saw Chris standing a few feet away from me, looking at the summary of books and then tossing them onto the ground. He threw another book my way and I ducked to avoid getting hit. "HEY!!" I yelled. He turned around. "Oh hi Riley." He said casually. "Why are you throwing books around?" I asked him angrily. "These books are kind of boring so, yeah." He said. "Well one of them hit me so if you are going to throw books around kindly stop throwing books in this direction!" I yelled at him. "Ok, but why are you sitting over there anyway?" He asked. At that moment I heard Max coming down the stairs. "Riley I will find you!" She yelled. Chris looked over in the direction of the door. "Hide and Seek?" He asked. "Yes. When she comes, make sure she doesn't find me." I wispered to him. "Ok then." He replied.

I heard someone come into the library. "Max is here." He said. "Act natural." I said. Chris nodded and walked over to a bookshelf and picked up a random book to act like he was there alone. I heard Max walk over to Chris and start questioning him. "Hey Christopher, have you seen Riley?" She asked. "Nope." Chris said. At the same time he threw another book in my direction and I wasn't fast enough so it hit me right in the face. I ducked down so that I was hidden by the massive pile of books. Ow. I thought to myself. This was just a game of hide and seek, but I was still not about to let myself be found. I clutched my head as I continued to listen to Max and Chris talk. "I've looked everywhere upstairs so I thought she would be here." Max said walking over to the pile of books I was hiding behind. "Hey, can you move over a bit?" Chris asked.Max nodded and I saw her move to the side. Chris tossed another book in my direction and it flew over the pile and it hit the top of my head. When Max leaves this library, I am going to KILL Chris!! I thought. My head was now killing me. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to reading my book." Chris said to Max. "Of course." Max said as she moved to the other side of the library and eventually, she left the library. I jumped over the pile of books and walked over to Chris. I lightly pushed him. "What were you thinking?" I asked. He smiled. "If I threw books into that pile, she wouldn't think that you are there." Chris said. "Oh." I said. I put my hand on my head. "Well, you hit me twice with those books so my head is killing me." I said. "Sorry." He said. Chris threw another book into the pile. "Go find another spot to hide in." Chris said while picking up another book. "You will be harder to find if you keep changing places." I nodded and I left the library.

My next hiding place was going to be a locker.
