"Where did he go?" Max asked. "He was just lying there!" She was right. The teachers supposed body wasn't there anymore. "Oh my gosh... did someone take him?" Christopher  asked. I looked all around the window. "There's no one else outside and they would probably die." I said. For a little while, there was silence. Then Christopher spoke. "This might be crazy, but I think I know where he went." Christopher ran out of the room and we followed. We went over to the front door. I stood in front of the door in shock.

The teacher was there.

He was very pale, as if his heart stopped pumping blood. And he had cuts all over him that were bleeding out a green substance. His pupils were a deep red colour. And he was outside in the fog, kicking the door hard to try and get in. "What the heck happened to him?" Rebecca asked. "I don't know. It must have been the fog." I replied. "Ok so we are definitely not going outside just yet." Will said, backing away from the door and leaning on the closest wall. "How long will we be here? Because I'm supposed to do a YouTube video in 10 minutes and both the school and WiFi are trash right now." Rachel said, looking through her phone to reconnect the school WiFi network. "Rachel, the cell towers are probably down due to people probably being DEAD out there so you should be thankful you didn't go outside." Rebecca said. "And if the cell towers are down, then we won't be able to look at the news to find out what the heck is going on." Christopher said. "We might have to figure it out ourselves." "Yeah no kidding Sherlock..." Rachel said so Christopher didn't hear. "Well, we know 2 things. #1 don't go outside, and #2, if you are stupid enough to go outside, then that happens to you." Will said, pointing at the teacher who was still trying to get inside. "But we don't even know what 'that' is." Max added. "And we don't plan on finding out." Will replied. "Unless any of you have gas masks and body suits." I thought about it. "I'm pretty sure that there is a safe room somewhere in the school. Arn't they supposed to have emergency equipment there?" I asked. "They probably should. Good thinking Riley." Will said to me. "That's what after school math programs do to you." I replied. Will stood up and started walking to the nearest classroom. "Can some of you help me barricade that door before the teacher breaks it down?" He asked. Christopher, Rachel, and Rebecca nodded and went with Will into the classroom. "Hey Riley! Can you and Max go get some of the emergency equipment, and maybe food if there's some there too?" Will asked me while bringing out a desk from the classroom. "Sure." I replied. "Cmon Max, let's go get some stuff from the emergency room." I said to Max. "Ok." She replied. We walked down the first hallway we saw to see of we could find the emergency room.

We were looking for the Master key in the staff room when Max asked me a question. "Are you scared?" She asked. That's not a hard question. I'm kinda scared but, it's better to keep calm until the police find us or until we get what we need to go outside safely. "Of course I'm scared. But hey! The police will probably come find us and take us to some sort of bunker where we will be safer then we are here." I replied. "I'm just wondering about my parents and my little sister, Lily. I don't know where they are, but I really hope they're ok." She said. "Well, hopefully my parents are ok. I don't have any siblings." I said to her. "So you're and only child? You must have felt lonely in your family?" Max asked. "At times I do feel lonely, but I have my friends to talk to. Until they start talking about their siblings." I told her. "I was an only child about 1 year ago. I felt lonely too." Max said. She knew what it felt like. "How old is your sister?" I asked. "She is 14 months old. I'm still not used to her though." Max said. "That's really young." I said. "Yeah, I just really hope she's ok...." She started to tear up. I went over to her and gave her a hug. She started to cry. "Hey, it's ok Max, your sister will be fine." I said. There was silence for a while. I slowly pulled away from the hug. "Now come on, let's find the master key, and then we can find the emergency room OK? Everyone will be fine." She nodded and we continued looking for the Master Key.

After about 10 minutes of looking for the Master Key, Max found it hidden in a filing cabinet. So after Max grabbed the key, we started to look for the safe room.

We looked around most of the rooms downstairs and eventually, we found the safe room. It was a door inside the meeting room where the teachers plan events. Me and Max entered the safe room. Inside there was a whole lot of food, a mini power generator,3 gas masks, body suits to pair with the masks, and about 10 blankets. Probably for if there was a blackout.
"Score." I said while grabbing the gas masks and body suits. "Max can you grab some food?" I asked. She nodded and started to take food off of the shelves in the safe room. We headed back to the rest of the group. They were sitting in the meeting room.

"Well it's about time. What took you guys so long?" Rachel asked."We had to find the Master Key and the emergency room so, that took us some time." I replied." And they came back with everything we needed." Will added. We put all the stuff we got on some desks and laid it out."looks like we should be set for a month or so." Rebecca said. "Don't worry. There's still more food in the safe room." Max said. Will examined the items more carefully."There's only one problem." Will started. "There are 3 gas masks and suits and there are 6 of us. Some of us will have to go and some of us won't be able to come." "So who's going out to get more resources?" Chris asked.

The room fell silent.
