I looked at the clock. 3:15 pm. Still got 10 minutes to go. I'm sitting here at the after school math program my parents forced me into. I'm sitting here with the smartest students because they come for fun. Yes you heard right. Math. For fun.

I've got Christopher sitting to the left of me, doing math questions like there's no tomorrow, and Will sitting to the right of me, doing his work slowly to make sure that he gets them right. In front of me, Rebecca is on Snapchat putting things on her story about how she's bored here. Well, she's already done her work anyways so it doesn't really matter to her. Behind me is Maxine, who prefers to be called Max, is staring off into space. She's kind of like me, who doesn't want to do math, and would much rather do anything but math. And behind Max was Rachel. And Rachel nor her parents really cared what she did in school.

The other kids are just kids with low profiles and I don't really know them. I looked at the clock again. It was 3:20 now. Only 5 minutes to go. "Shoot. I left something in my car." The Teacher said. "Will you guys be ok for a few minutes?" He asked. "Yeah." We all said in unison. "Alright. If anything happens, I can call the ambulance, I have them on speed dial." He said jokingly. He went out of the room and a few minutes later, we saw him outside getting something out of his car. Everyone was still pretty quiet mainly because when the teacher leaves, we just go on our phones.

It's 3:25 now and he still hasn't come back. And we looked out the window and he wasn't there. We just assumed he was in his car. We are here overtime but we can't leave without our supervisor knowing. And unfortunately he is the only teacher in the school, and there are no other students we can talk to. It's just this class and we don't really talk. We wait about 5 more minutes and some of the kids are getting bored out their minds. "Come on guys we can just sneak out the other side so the teacher doesn't see us and plus, our parents will be mad if we get home late." A boy wearing a blue baseball cap said. "Yeah we could just sneak out." Another boy with round glasses added. "Yeah guys let's go." The boy with the blue baseball cap said. The 2 boys and most of the other students left and probably went home. Now the only students here were me, Christopher, Will, Rebecca, Rachel, and Max.

"Guys we should probably go." Rachel said, getting out of her seat. She too was getting bored. "Come on, wait like 5 more minutes." Christopher said to her. "Ok Christopher I honestly don't care about getting in trouble right now." She snapped at Christopher, who put his head down and he didn't have anything to say to her after that. I felt kind of sorry for him. Rachel's tone of voice probably wasn't very nice toward Christopher. "Ok Rachel calm down. Christopher was just trying to make a point that the teacher will probably come back in a few minutes. He's probably coming up the stairs now." I said to Rachel. She gave me a dirty look. "And what makes you think you can stop me from leaving?" She asked. "I don't think I can stop you, I just thought you might just change your mind." I replied. There was a moment of silence while Rachel made up her mind thinking about wether she should stay or go. "I'm not doing this for any of you or because you told me to. Just so you know." She said before sitting back in her seat. She was going to stay. Rachel is never going to admit when we have better ideas than her.

"Hey guys! Look! He finally got out of his car!" Will yelled to us. We all came to the window. There the teacher was, he had a bag in his hand. And he was just getting out of his car. "What's that fog over there?" Rebecca asked pointing to the far left side of the window. We all looked. There was a thick, light green fog outside heading strait for the teacher. "Will close the window. That's not normal." I said to Will. In the unlikely event that the fog was dangerous, we wouldn't want to inhale the fumes. "Ok." Will said closing the window. The fog was thick, but we could still see the teacher. He was locking the car quickly and he took a few steps to try to get inside, but before he could make it, he fell right to the ground, and he wasn't moving. "Oh my gosh..." Rachel said. Will was quick to realize the situation. "Ok guys we need to act fast. We all need to go around the school and close all the windows and doors that let in outside air, and I'll go turn on the air conditioning to make sure the existing fumes go away." Will said. Everyone ran out of the classroom immediately. Max and I did the upstairs windows, Rachel and Rebecca did the windows and doors downstairs, and Will and Chris turned on the air conditioning. 10 minutes later, there was no way that outside air could get inside and we were all safe. We all met back upstairs in the classroom we were in. "Ok guys, we are safe here until the fog goes away. But for now, we will have to stay in the school." Will said. "Guys! Come to the window quick!" Christopher said looking out the window. We all rushed over to look.

The Teacher was gone.
