Monday - September 20

Start from the beginning

As Victor tries to stand, Gerald realizes that the blow on his head was hard, and doesn't know if any serious internal damages have been incurred. Gerald helps Victor back into the lab.

"Victor, we need to x-ray your head. We need to make sure you're all right," Gerald tells him.

"Just let me sit for a while. I need a glass of water. Can you get some, Gerald?"

"Sure." Gerald goes to the water cooler, when all of a sudden, he collapses to the floor.

"You damn asshole! I know you and Stevens have Georgia. I'll find out where she is, and when I do, I'm coming back to kill you, Gerald. Something I should have done a long time ago." Victor throws a syringe on the floor, after injecting Gerald. Victor, not fully conscious from the blow on his head, but alert enough to know that he must stop Stevens from taking Georgia from the Plaza, or the world will be doomed.

Victor leaves the lab, and being unsteady, leans against the hallway wall as he begins to walk towards the elevator. Finally reaching the elevator, he manages to pull out his cell to open the door. Woozy, he enters and pushes number one on the panel. Feeling as if he's going to faint, Victor stands tall, and mumbles to himself, "Get it together, Victor. You must save Georgia." The elevator door opens and Victor pushes button number one.

When the elevator reaches the main floor, the door opens, and Victor trips and falls hard on his side. As he lies on the floor, he begins to cry out, "Georgia! Georgia!" He sees someone coming towards him. When he looks up, he says, "You!" Victor faints.

"Is he all right?" asks President Mansoor.

"I think so," says Julie.

"Mr. Stevens, would you be kind enough as to please put Dr. Parks into the van?" the president asks.

"With pleasure, Madame President," replies Stevens.

"Where is Gerald?" Julie asks Stevens.

"I don't know, ma'am. He was to meet us up here. Would you like me to go to the lab and see if he's there?"

"No. No. He'll know what happened. Put Dr. Parks in the van with Mrs. Parks and let's get back to the CDC."

"Yes, ma'am," says Stevens.

Stevens bends down and lifts Victor over his shoulders. Victor, not fully conscious, begins to mumble. Julie rubs his head gently and says, "Rest, Dr. Parks. Everything will be fine in a couple of hours." Victor passes out.

After Stevens, Julie, and the president are secure in the van, Stevens begins the treacherous drive back to Atlanta. With all the snow that has fallen, road travel is difficult, rendering Stevens to drive slowly and cautiously. After three hours, everyone arrives safely at the Center for Disease Control.

A guard opens the gate, allowing the van to enter. Stevens drives to a garage door in the rear of the complex and honks his horn. The door opens, allowing the van to enter the dark crevice. As the door closes, Monica goes to the driver's window to ask Stevens if there were any problems.

Stevens opens the van door and gets out saying, "If there were, we wouldn't be here." He slams the door, walks to the back of the van, and puts Dr. Parks on the gurney Monica brought with her.

Julie and President Mansoor exit from the van and walk to the back to watch Stevens lay Dr. Parks on the gurney. While Monica safely secures Dr. Parks, Stevens brings Georgia out from the van, and Monica makes sure that they're both covered and ready to be transported to their designated areas. Monica asks Julie, "When do you think it'll be safe, you know, for... you know..."
