Se are sitting here at our club, Jamie flirting to Loki, Loki not minding it, Alistair listening some musics on his ipod, and me writing on my blog about the cases we had solved the previous days. Ganyan ang nangyayari for 10 minutes when my phone beeped, signaling na may nagmessage. I got my phone and to my surprise, the message came from an unknown person.

I shrugged at dapat ko na sanang itatago ang phone ko but Loki beat me to it. "What does it say Lorelei?" Well I think I need to tell it. I gave my phone to them at lumapit si Ali kina Jamie at Loki upang makita rin ang nasa text. "Probably just a prank." Said Jamie. "I don't it is. Look, it says na if we decode the code, then madadagdagan tayo." Ali protested. "Well, baka walang magawa yung sender kaya naisipan niyang teksan si Lorelei." Sabi ulit ni Jamie. "Well I son't think so." Loki finally said, which made us all looked at him. "The sender would not waste his time to search codes or ciphers at basta-basta nalang ipapasa kay Lorelei," Ali said. Teka, HIS? Pani naman niya nalaman na lalaki nga ang sender? Tatanungin ko na sana si Ali but Loki beat me to it again. "And besides, looks like the sender has a thing to Lorelei," Loki said looking at me, smirking. I rolled my eyes. "Tss. Pano niyo naman nalaman na lalaki yan at what are you talking about Loki?" I asked. He didn't answer instead, he handed me my phone. I checked it and saw a new message from the sender:

Hope you crack this code coz I'm dying to work to ya'll ESPECIALLY LORELEI 😉😉

I shrug it away and looked at them. "So anong balak natin?" I asked. "Solve the code." Loki said then leaned on his swivel chair like a boss. Kukunin ko na sana yung ohone to see again the code but Jamie stopped me, "No need Lorelei, I can recall it for you." She said. I nodded.
"PHHW PH DW WKH URRIWRS" she said. "So anyone got an idea on how to crack that?" I asked. "It's definitely not the codes we cracked on our previous cases. This seems so easy but I just can't remember what code this is." Loki said. Nonetheless, I still get my phone to check again the code. Jamie's recall isn't enough for me to have an idea. I carefully read every single letters. "What if it has something to with the alphabet?" Ali said out of nowhere. We looked at him sarcastically. Malamng eh sa letters yun opeh. "I mean don't get me wrong, what I mean is baka we need to step backwards or forwards para ma--" "SHIFT!" Loki shouted. I saw his eyes with excitement and immediately grabbed my phone. "Now it makes sense. This is Caesar Shift!" He said looking at us. We eyed him curiously. Eh kahit sabihan niya ang pangalan ng code na yan ay hindi parin namin magets dahil hindi naman kami pamilyar dyan.
Napa-irap siya at nag-explain. "Caesar Shift is a type of encryption to which associated of a fixed number of letter. Each letter is then replaced by that obtained letter after performing the shift." He said, now we get it. "Pero how do we know yung fixed number Loki dear? Hindi naman pwedeng isa-isahin natin ang numbers hanggang sa mapalabas natin yan. Matatagalan lang tayo." Jamie said. I get her point, kahit walang binigay na time limit ang sender, maaari parin kaming matalo dahil nagsasara ang rooftop at exactly 5 pm and we only have 45 minutes left. "Easy, the answer of the shift is on the P.S. part." Ali answered then showed the message.
