3 a.m. [yoongi]

"oh my god i desperately need help"

it was the night before the first exam paper of my end-of-year examinations

and guess what?

your girl waited till last minute

to study for a

history paper

i practically dug a grave for myself

i looked down on my history notes once more

"im so tired i cant concentrate and nothing is getting in my head!"

i knocked my head against my bedroom wall

i glaced at my wall clock

it is currently 3 a.m.

"ok ok"

i took deep breathes, attempting to calm myself down.

i walked over to the only window in my room, trying to get some fresh air.

maybe that would help me concentrate better

but unexpectedly, i saw yoongi at his bedroom window too , staring out to the sky.

"hey"

"hey?" i responded, shocked that he was the first one to initiate a potential conversation

"what are you doing staying up this late?" i asked, curious, but i also did not really expect any answer from him.

"i cant control my sleeping time"

woah he actually answered

"what do you mean?"

"i have insomnia"

maybe i shouldn't have asked why.

"sorry for asking"

"no, no its fine. im actually kind of glad you asked"

yoongi's POV

i had no idea why i was talking to my neighbour at 3 a.m. in the morning

especially about my insomnia

i always avoided that topic with anyone because i knew it would eventually lead to me talking about the accident

but somehow, i felt like i trusted chaeyoung

she asking about my well-being really made me feel like someone cared for me, other then my mother

"really?" chaeyoungs eyes lit up

i slowly nodded my head

so i told her all about how i got my insomnia and that accident that happened a long time ago

"wow. it must have been hard on you"

"no shit sherlock"

she scrunched up her face to my sudden sassiness

"well i dont think you should be blaming yourself for this. she loved you enough to risk her own life for yours. i think even though you didnt show your love in a big way, but im pretty sure she knew that all along. thats why she never left you in the first place"

her words didn't help me completly overcome my trauma, but it definitely did  help

"thanks"

"your welcome" she said with a big smile on her face.

"y'know maybe being around you isn't that bad after all"

"took you long enough to realise"

i chucked at her remark
