SELFIES

Me and my dad just had this conversation before eating somewhere (#medyopahumble):

Dad: Picturan mo yung pagkain para selfie

Ako: Alam mo ba ibig sabihin ng selfie?

So apparently, gutom na gutom na ako ng mga panahon na ito so excuse my manner, pero Ano nga ba talaga ang ibig sabihin ng Selfie?

According to the statement above it’s a Self-portrait photograph therefore, wag mong ipagsiksikan ang mukha mo sa mga bagay para lang matawag na Selfie. (/coughs/ dun sa mga taong nagselfie pagkabili ng Magnum, Coffee sa Starbucks or whatever). One thing I hate about our country is Social status is very important. Apparently, taking selfies and get your friends updated makes you feel more important and cut above the rest well guess what honey You’re not.

I don’t really hate selfies kasi kahit ako nagseselfie din ako, but most of the time I don’t post it and keep it as a memory. However, for others they feel like they need to tell everyone what are they doing every minute of their freaking lives. Hindi naman masamang magselfie. It’s just that, matuto sana tayong lumugar. This is what I’m pointing about, You have to be considerate or don’t be careless or be both. Marami ang nagsasabi na may freedom of speech ang Pilipinas so they can do whatever they want but that doesn’t mean that you should do it, be considerate of what others will think. Wag kasing pagkagising mo pa lang yung tipong may panis na laway pa sa mukha mo naga-upload ka na agad o kaya naman yung tatae ka lang magseselfie ka pa? Diba nakakaasar?! Ito pa, naaasar din ako sa mga nagkasugat tapos magseselfie pa, pukra ate/kuya di po hospital yan, social network po yan. Meron pang isa, may patay na kasama tapos nagselfie pa. Paker lang talaga!!! I decided na wag ng ipost yung picture dahil makakadagdag lang yun sa kahihiyang dinudulot sa kanila.

I repeat, hindi masamang mag-selfie. Matuto lang sana tayong lumugar kung kalian dapat tayo mag-post, mag-take ng picture or whatever. Think twice before you do something, because you cannot undone something even if it’s so wrong in so many levels.
