Min Yoongi was pretty. Too pretty.

Too pretty for someone that just stared at his phone and kept his hood tucked over his head all day, that is.

Too pretty for someone who'd only talked to Hoseok ONCE in the years he'd known him– and didn't meet his eyes the whole time, either.

This came upon him one day while sitting in class, staring at his paper and the little dance step numbers he'd doodled across it. His group was travelling to a competition this weekend- and they'd still not mastered the end numbers.

Somehow Hoseok found his gaze tracing up from his paper, sweeping across the front of the classroom, and then resting on the back of a student's head– or rather, a hood. A student that sat in the front left corner, constantly staring out the window.

Min Yoongi.

He always has his hood on, Hoseok thought, and this irked him more than he liked. He'd noticed this in the past couple weeks after Yoongi had switched into their mathematics class- although he was a junior, one year older than Hoseok, apparently he needed to boost his skill level before being switched back to his normal class.

No one dared tease the stoic junior for it– in the first week that Yoongi had come, a dark aura constantly surrounded him.

Maybe it was his eyes, that piercing glare?

Maybe it was his expression, so... uninterested, but cold?

Or maybe it was just that he was older?

Whatever it was, no one in their class even bothered to call out any names to the sunbae– as normally Hoseok would've expected his rowdy classmates to do. Min Yoongi was simply too... intimidating to be questioned.

The class ended sooner than he would've liked, and he took a deep breath before gathering his books and his backpack and walking over to the older schoolmate. "Um, excuse me," Hoseok said, coming around to stand next to Yoongi. Even after class had been dismissed, the junior still sat in his seat, arms crossed and hood pulled over his head.

"Excuse me?" Hoseok bent down a bit to look at Yoongi's face– he liked making eye contact with people when speaking to them, something a lot of people found a bit uncomfortable.

Startled, Hoseok pulled back– Min Yoongi was sleeping.

A bit panicked and hesitant, Hoseok lingered there for a moment longer before bending back down to look at the black-haired boy's face again.

Yoongi's eyes, slid shut, looked relaxed and soft, and his whole complexion seemed brighter- a bit angelic, if Hoseok dared to think. Black bangs were layered over his forehead and scattered right above his eyelids, and his normally furrowed eyebrows were at peace, his lips slightly parted.

Hoseok drew in a sharp breath, ready to straighten up again, but for a split second felt as if he couldn't pull away. Damn, he thought, and for the first time but definitely not the last, he added to himself, Min Yoongi is too pretty.

Unfortunately, in that split second, Yoongi's eyes snapped open, and the dark scary aura suddenly surrounded him again- and it seemed to grab at Hoseok too, standing there uninvited.

Quickly, before the junior could say anything, Hoseok said in a bright voice, "Hi!" He straightened up immediately, holding his books close to his chest. He could feel his cheeks heating a bit with embarrassment at being caught. "I–I'm Jung Hoseok, a sophomore. I'm one of the class representatives. Most people call me Hobi– um." He shook his head. "Excuse me for saying this, but you aren't allowed to wear your hood in class. Do you mind not doing that?" He smiled again, his dimpled one, which usually won over all the girls he showed it to, and more than half the boys.

Yoongi stared at him for so long with that expressionless face that Hobi thought he was starting to feel mildly uncomfortable– which never happened, for one thing. Jung Hoseok, uncomfortable in front of people? Never! I'm the most extroverted person there can ever be, he argued to himself.

At last Yoongi sat up, pushing the hood off his head as he did so. Hobi snapped upright again– so much he might've thought he'd broken his spine. Ouch... he thought, wincing. Gosh, Min Yoongi sure IS intimidating.

"Sorry, Hobi," Min Yoongi said, and Hoseok bristled at the clear sarcasm. He opened his mouth to retort but the junior had already spoken. "But I don't listen to sophomores. Or freshmen. Or middle schoolers. Or even my own class representatives." He pulled his hood back over his head, then stuck an earbud in each ear. "Nice talking to you though, hoobae."

He stood and walked past Hoseok, who stood there as the junior scuffed past in his squeaky sneakers.

Hoseok heard the door slide open, then shut with a slam, and still he stood there, completely still.

At last he sank to the floor, his knees suddenly giving out, and he crouched there, trembling slightly. "Damn, that boy is scary," he whispered aloud, dropping his books and dusting off his uniform although there was nothing on it.

He collected his things and stood again, and it seemed like Min Yoongi's stare was burned into his mind. "Ick," he said, shivering. He was completely alone in that classroom, and yet he felt trapped.

Suddenly, as if in slow motion, he turned on his heel, papers flying out of his arms, and ran right toward the door, forcing it open so hard when it hit the frame the entire wall seemed to shake. He pounded down the hallway toward the retreating figure of Min Yoongi, and skidded to a halt right before him just as the black-haired boy turned around.

Yoongi raised an eyebrow at him, then gave a little gasp of shock as Hoseok leaned forward and yanked an earbud out of his ear so the sunbae would listen to him. "Min Yoongi!" Hoseok shouted, although there was no need to shout as the junior was so close in range. "I– I–" His face flushed, and he was shaking again, though he had no idea why and what he was saying. "I'm not giving up on you!" he yelled, then clumsily pressed the earbud back into Yoongi's ear, turned, his face scarlet, and shot off back down the hall toward the classroom.

Once inside, he slammed the door shut and then leaned back against it, his entire body trembling from shock. "What... did you just do, Hobi?" he asked himself, and he pressed a hand to his mouth. Strangely exhausted, he slid down the wall with his back and curled up on the floor.
