Perrie

"I'm not going Jesy. I just can't. Who even attends masquerade balls anyway? It's the 21st century, if no one has noticed."

Jesy laughed, and held up a beautiful black dress in front of my body.

"You're coming, Perrie. It'll be fun! And you might find yourself a masked lover." she said, giving me a few winks. I laughed, and then let out a small sigh.

"I just don't think that's ever gonna happen. I'm going to look desperate, and that's not what I'm going for." I said sadly, plopping myself down in a chair. Jesy frowned, and sat in front of me.

"You won't look desperate. Trust me. Maybe this may be my lucky night, as well." she said, smiling.

"Jesy, anyone would fall for you. You're drop dead gorgeous. You of all people should know that."

"Oh sweetheart, I'm not that good looking."

"Jessica Louise, yes you are. Now let's try on some dressed before I change my mind. The ball is seven hours away and if we don't have dresses in time, we'll be screwed."

Jade (six hours later)

"Leigh, do I look okay?" I asked, anxiously pulling my dress up and adjusting it.

"Jade, you look stunning. Please trust me. You look absolutely amazing." she said, smiling. I looked down at my white dress, dotted with small gems on every inch of the fabric. It was a beautiful dress, but I didn't think the girl wearing it was all that great. Leigh's dress was surprisingly simple, which is not like Leigh at all. It was a short black dress that met right above her knees, and  it had adorable ruffles at the bottom, and the top was completely bejeweled. Her hair was down and wavy, and she, may I say, was absolutely stunning. My hair was down and wavy also, like it normally is. I just didn't really understand the meaning of it.

Later That Day

"Leigh, why would we have to wear makeup? Won't we have masks on?" I asked.

"If you meet someone, of course you'll have to later reveal yourself, Jadey. And I'm almost positive you're going to meet somebody."

"You're funny."

"But I wasn't joking." she said, cocking an eyebrow.

"No one wants this. Sorry to break it to you, hun." I said, sighing deeply.

"Jade, we've talked about this. You're beautiful, okay?"

"Thank you, Leigh. I love you."

"I love you too, Jadey."

Perrie

"Jes I'm scared." I mumbled as the car stopped in front of the ballroom the hosts rented for the night. Jesy's friends invited her to it, but she didn't even know the host. So we were basically on our own if we couldn't find her friends.

"Pez, take deep breaths. This'll be great. Here," she said, handing me a black mask to go with my black dress. I slipped it on, and adjusted it so it wouldn't irritate me. Jesy put her gold mask on, to match her beige colored dress. I gazed at her, only able to see a bit of her eyes and the bottom half of her face. We parked the car in the parking lot, and made sure not to step on the bottoms of our dresses. The breeze felt quite nice on my shoulders, because Jesy always kept the heater on when it's cold out. But it got VERY warm.

I met her on her side of the car, and gave her a pleading look.

"Perrie, tonight will be amazing. I promise. Give it a chance." Jes assured me, putting her hand on my shoulder. I sighed, then walked with Jesy to the entrance of the ballroom. There was a man in a black tux, with a black mask covering the majority of his face.

"Names?"

"Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards." Jesy said simply. He dragged his finger across two full pages, then nodded.

"Come on in. Have a nice time." he said, letting us pass. Jesy grabbed my hand, and guided me into the ballroom.  It was beautiful. Chandeliers hung low from the ceiling, glistening in the light of the room. The entire place was decorated in black and white decorations. making everything pop.

"It's beautiful." I mumbled, smiling at Jesy. She gazed at me, and gave me the biggest grin. We decided to walk around a bit, so we could attempt to find her friends. Luckily, they were talking and laughing by the spiraled staircase. They were really nice to me, even though they didn't know me very well. But we all got along well, which was all that mattered to me.

Three Hours Later

Jesy and I had drank plenty of booze, and so did her friends. I felt so alive, and the party was only getting started. While I went to grab more drinks, I felt someone lightly nudge my back. It kind of scratched my back, due to that my dress was backless. "Ouch," I said, turning around. My eyes met a pair of dazzling, brown ones. It was pretty much all I COULD see anyway. I felt my heart rate increase, but I made not a single move.

"I'm so sorry, did I run into you?" she asked, her face slowly turning red.

"No no, you're good." I replied, smiling. She smiled, and sighed.

"Are you here alone?" she asked, standing next to me.

"I'm here with a friend. What about you?" I replied.

"Same here. Your dress is beautiful, by the way," she said, her cheeks turning a bright pink. I bit my lip, and smiled.

"So is yours. And so is the girl wearing it,"

WHAT ARE YOU DOING, PERRIE LOUISE??

I screamed to myself inside my head, continuing to smile at the brunette girl.

"Thank you so much," she blushed, sipping her drink. I couldn't look away from her, no matter what I did. She was breathtaking.

Jades' POV

Five drinks later, I was dancing with the blonde on the crowded dance-floor, feeling her body against mine. The music wafted through the room, matching my heartbeat. I would grab her waist, and feel the music surge through her body. I was definitely sober, which was the best part. 5 drinks couldn't even wipe away my focus. I was focused on this girl. I didn't even know her name. I bet it was a beautiful name. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl.

When it seemed like the millionth song ended, I grabbed her hand, and took her to the terrace. I prayed that it would be empty. I saw the terrace when we came in awhile ago, and instantly wanted to check it out. Luckily, the terrace WAS empty. My heart fluttered inside me. The moon was huge that night. The stars twinkled and winked at me.

"This is so beautiful," she said, gazing into the night. The stars twinkled in her bright blue eyes, and I couldn't help but smile.

"You're beautiful," I said quietly, my nerves shot.

She looked at me, and I swear I felt her eyes burn into my skin.

"You're even more beautiful,"

I didn't even think. I grabbed her face gently with my hands and crashed my lips against hers. Electricity surged through my body. Though every vein, atom, and muscle in my body. It felt so good. I wouldn't have pulled away if I needed air.

"I'm Perrie," she said with a smile.

"I'm Jade,"
