"The war between Whitebeard & the Navy is over!" they look at each other with widened eyes before running to the meeting room as well, one of the revo's dumped a whole pile of newspapers on a table before grabbing
"This is insane!" he yelled, Koala was going to grab one but was stopped
"Dragon-san, it says that Whitebeard... he lost!" he kept reading it & his eyes widened at a few parts "He died... & so did his son?!"
"He had a son?" Koala & Sabo started walking away but they both stopped in their tracks when they heard...
"Yeah... his son was, Dead Shot Shawn." Koala was first to react when she snatched the papers out of his hands & started reading it for herself
"No... t-this can't be him!" she started hyperventilating as she read on, on the front picture was him & what made her more upset was... she saw the transponder snail right beside his fallen hand "He... he lied to me!"
She started gripping the papers in her hands as she grits her teeth, she felt the tears swell up when she heard Sabo slam his hands on the table. She glared at him but it disappeared when she saw that he was looking at the newspaper as tears leaked from his eyes
"S-Sabo-kun?"
(Sabo POV → Yay...!)
I felt like I was shot through the head with a bullet when I heard that name, it pained me to hear that name. Koala pushed passed me as she read the newspaper, she told me about a guy named Shaw
... but I didn't know him, till now
I carefully pick the newspaper up & saw a picture of him staring right back at me, its like his eyes were staring down into my soul. Next to that photo was him with a missing leg... & a hole in his chest. My eyes widened as I read the headline
DEAD SHOT SHAWN DIES
Why am I feeling like this? Why am I sweating so badly? I slam my hands on the table & felt all eyes on me. I didn't care, I was staring down at the picture as I saw my tears landing on the paper
"S-Sabo-kun...?"
(Flashback #1)
"Let's leave future decisions for the future."Ace said as he took the sake and start opening it, "Maybe we'll all be on separate ships!"
"Oh! You stole some of Dadan's sake?"Luffy said
"Did you guys know? If you share a drink, you can become brothers,"Ace informed and pour the liquid into the cups
"Brothers!? Really!?"
"We might not be on the same ship when we become pirates, but this will bind us together as brothers!! No matter where we are or what we do, nothing can break this bond..!!"Ace finished and took one of the cups. The rest of us take one as well and put them in the air. "From today on, we're Brothers!" they cheers their sake cups together with big smiles on our face and replied,
"YEAH!!"
(Flashback #2)
"Big bro...?" he looked over at the door & saw Sabo "Were you arguing with mama & papa again?" he looked away
"Yes..." he started thinking a bit, as he changed into more comfortable clothes & threw his backpack over his shoulder & went over to Sabo "I'm leaving Sabo, & I'm not coming back, this time."
"W-What...?" he said through tears, he crouched down & put his hands on Sabo's shoulders "W-Why?"
"I don't like the way we're leaving here, Sabo. &-& I don't want you to be alone when I leave so... come with me."
"Wha..."
"Come with me! We'll be free, we'll be able to see the vast sea, the real sea! Not the one through those books, we won't have to live by rules--"
"I-I can't leave, ____! They're our family!"
"But..."
"No means no!" he was shocked, he shook his head & tried not to cry, he sighed & pulled Sabo into a hug... one last time
"Then promise me... you won't listen to them or the other nobles."
"H-Huh...?" with that he let Sabo go & jumped out the window "W-Wait, ____!" but he was gone as he ran across rooftops & off into the night
(End Flashback)
I stumbled backwards before slamming my hands on the table again, I broke down into loud sobs as I remembered... I remembered who he was. I remembered who Shaw was!! That had did it, it threw me off my limit as I threw the newspaper up & screamed out loud as I began falling backwards
"Sabo!"
"Sabo-kun!!"
'Know I remember! The one who died wasn't some unknown pirate... he wasn't just some threat in the Pirate Era that needed to be eliminated! Shawn is my... brother!!'
