"Oh, its almost May 5th." I thought for a second before screaming at the date "Holy moly its almost Luffy's birthday!" I suddenly started thinking, maybe I should stop by & say hi, they haven't seen me in 2 years so, why the hell not?
"Hey Shawn, what's the matter?" Thatch asked "We suddenly heard you screaming so we came to check it out."
"Its almost my brothers birthday!" I cheered, Volpina raised an eyebrow
"Which one?"
"Luffy!"
"Really? How is he turning?"
"If I'm accurate, he's turning 12!"
"You haven't told us anything about your family on your home island, tell us about them." I hum to myself
"Okay, I have two brothers & the three of us grew up with mountain bandits! The youngest between the three of us if obviously Luffy. His full name is Monkey D. Luffy--"
"That means your not brothers-yoi."
"Do you want me to tell you about them or not?" they go silent "Thought so, well, he has short messy raven black hair, a scar on his left eye & always wears a straw hat. He's stupid, clumsy & a bad liar, but he always knows how to make us smile. Now there's Ace, his full name is Portgas D. Ace, & don't even cut me off or I swear to god."
"I won't."
"Thank you, he has raven black hair too with freckles. When we were younger he was such a shit head, he was so mean to Luffy & what I was told, tried to kill him multiple times. Now he's grown some brains & learnt some manners from a woman named Makino, she's so nice! I see her as a second mother! Now back to Ace, a funny fact about him is that he acts like a tsundere!" I started laughing right there
"A tsundere? Seriously?"
"If you meet him you'll understand."
(Time Skip)
"Do you have to leave?" Whitebeard asked me as Volpina spread her wings out
"I promise I'll visit Da-- Whitebeard, I just really need to see them. I haven't seen them in 2 years & I have to wait another 5 years to see them both on the Grand Line." he sighs
"Okay, but do you promise to visit?"
"Of course, I'm a man who keeps promises!" he laughed & ruffled my hair, I put it back to its normal hairstyle before putting my hat on
"Be safe Shawn!"
"Come again soon-yoi!"
"Can't wait to see ya in the future kid!"
"Have fun!" I wave them goodbye before hopping on Volpina's back & she flew off
"What are you planning getting Luffy-sama for his birthday, Boss-sama?" I hum to myself before raising an eyebrow
"The sweetest candy the works can offer, let's go Volpina!"
(Third Person POV)
In the East Blue, on Dawn Island, they planned on having two parties for the boy. In the Fusha Village & back at the bandits place! The 15 year old was keeping an eye on the boy as he blindfolded Luffy & brought him down the mountain
"Ace! Where are we going?" the boy whined to his older brother, who laughed & kept his mouth shut
"Its a surprise~" Luffy only started whining even more! Ace started getting irritated but noticed Makino's bar was just in front him "Okay Luffy, we're here!"
"Really?!" Ace walks him in & slowly removes the blindfold & a whole lot of confetti was thrown Luffy's way as everyone yelled
"HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY LUFFY!"
"Huh?"
"Its your birthday so we're throwing you a party!" that got Luffy to tear up as he wrapped his arms around Ace, Makino & the Mayor & lifted them off the ground
"You guys are the best! Is there a cake! Tell me there's a cake please!"
"Of course there is!" they brought the cake out & Luffy's eyes started to shine "Make a wish birthday boy!"
"I wish Shaw could celebrate my birthday with us!" & he blew put the candles, the two were sitting in front of the bar with Makino at the bar when the door opened
"If only that could happen." Ace muttered, Makino smiled sadly at them & when she looked up she gasped "What's the matter, Makino?" suddenly someone wrapped their arms around the duo & smiled
"I hope I'm not late but, happy birthday little bro!"
"Shaw!" they tackled him to the ground & he laughed "Hey, my wish actually came true!"
"What?"
"I wished that you'd celebrate my birthday with us!" Shaw laughed & the two on top of him laughed as well
"I got you something as well, bring it in Volpina!" in came Volpina with a whole lot of food & candy "I was able to get my hands on the most sweetest & delicious foods in the whole world so, happy birthday to you Luffy!"
"Thank you so much Shaw!" & he dove right into the candy & food, Shaw looked over at Ace & saw he looked a little sad
"Don't think I forgot about you."
"Huh?" suddenly something was placed on Ace's head & it covered his eyes, he moved it up & saw it was an orange cowboy hat "A hat?"
"Your the only one without a hat, & I thought you'd like a hat! You don't like it...?"
"No... I love it! Thank you Shaw!" & Ace hugged him, Shaw was a little surprised but he hugged him back, suddenly someone kicked the door open
"I heard it was my grandsons birthda--" it was Garp & once him & Shaw made eye contact, the tension grew "So you came back here!!" Garp came charging at Shaw but he had his hand up
"No!!" that stopped him "It is Luffy's birthday, can we stop this nonsense till after his birthday, that would be great!"
"Urgh, fine, where is he anyways?"
"Over there, enjoying his present." Luffy was on his back with smears of chocolate all over his face "Got anything to top that?"
"... no."
"I'm better old man!"
