The tank is full of gas
My suitcase is full
Out the door and down the sidewalk I pull

Then squished in between siblings
we go down the road
Me, reading the book my hands hold
That is, until my phone rings

A message from a friends shows up on the screen
We talk of where we are going and places we've been
The car starts to slow and my eyes fleet
Away from my book as we stop to eat

Then back to the car where music fills my head
And sleeping, my sister leans her head
Against the window that reveals endless trees
Leaning away from my brother as he starts to sneeze

Our destination arrives and so do we
Racing to the room Where we will sleep
Swimsuit are put on and towels arranged
Swimming in a pool until clothes are changed

Time has gone by and adventures taken
Hikes walked and s'mores maken
Then back to the car to return back home
Until break comes again, and we start to roam.
