I look to Eva again and she's typing away at her screen,smiling....
We finish getting dressed and Eva's spray her Issey Miake perfume on...she sighs loudly
Fucking hell,he's only down stairs....
"Alright babe calm ya tits...you'll see Romeo in a sec" I tease
"Says you... you've been panicking like fuck over your lover boy too" she teases back
I smile to myself over seeing Russ.... i wonder what he's doing here?
I look to see Eva grinning at me and then looks at me with her Ah-Ha face....
Shit! Act aloof amber... give her your not arsed face....yeah that'll work
"What?" I say keeping my face as stern as I can with my hands on my hips
"Am not saying nothing" she says holding her hands up in surrender and then turns to leave the bedroom,and I follow suit...walking down the stairs to the kitchen
Pop's comes over an kisses eva on the cheek
"Good morning baby girl" he smiles
"Morning dad" Eva beams at him
"Where's Mum & Holly gone?" Eva says Looking for them
"They've gone to star swim at the leisure centre" he explains
Eva told me that star swim is a swimming club especially for special needs & physically disabled children...Holly loves it in the water..
"Just been giving justin and Russ some pointers from back in the old days" he boasts
Pop's used to a footballer when he was younger,had a few scouts watching him...everyone heard about him...even Everton came to see him but he wasn't there on that date as came down with plorasy...he missed his shot
"Old days eh pops? When was that 1912" I jokes coming in behind me
"Eh you! I'll have you know I still get I.D'd at the shops" he tugs on his shirt collar with a smug smile
I snort laugh "Fuck is the person blind as a bat or what?" I mutter under my breath
"I heard that you little shit" Pops laughs
He puts me in the headlock and starts fluffing my hair like he used to when I was younger....my fucking hair!!!
"NOOOO POPS NOT THE HAIR!!! NOT THE HAAAAAAIR" I cry
Eva,Justin & Russ start laughing at pop's and me.... The Bastards!!
"What were you sayin then?" He taunts still rubbing my hair
"Fuck...pops....you not old...your not old" I say giving up
"Damn straight...ok...am gunna let go now amber...that's it now...we're even...okay" He asks me
He sounds worried to let me go....so he fucking should be! I laugh evilly to myself
"Suuuuure pops....were even" i say calmly and innocent...
Pop's lets me go,and runs for it...I run after him...fuck! He's quick for an old man!
"You've had it pops" i shout after him
"Run for your life dad.... and may the odds be ever in your favour" Eva shouts dramatically quoting the hunger games
I snort laugh,that shits funny!
Running round the living room and dining room table "am gunna shave your head while you sleep pops" I taunt
"I'll lock me door.... " he grins at me
"I'll get you pop's...this table isn't gunna save you forever" I warn him in a singsong
He comes round to the right of me and I block him....I don't know how the fuck he does it...but he steps on the chair then the table and jumps off an runs for his life upstairs.... shouting "Ha Ha"
I chuckle he's a fast fucker!
I make my way back to the kitchen trying to fix my hair that now has a fucking ton of frizz on it... I roll my eyes as I stop at the mirror in the hallway
Urgggh Fuck this am not gunna tame this fucker....fucking Pop's,I grin to myself
Walking into the kitchen,I'm still trying to get the frizz out my hair with my fingers "your dad is a grade A pain in my fuckin arse,it's gunna take me ages to get the frizz out" i moan "he's lucky I love him girl"
Eva laughs at me
"I think you look beautiful" i hear from behind us
I gasp...and stop fixing my hair
Russ is looking at me with a smile on his face and motions for me to come to him with his index finger...
I can feel my cheeks getting hotter as I walk over to him...
He grins at me and whispers in my ear "You ready to Walk The Walk....with me?" He asks me quoting my words back to me...
I look to him and his eyes are full of hope,and kindness... I can't help but nod,it's weird I just feel this sort of pull towards him. Russ holds his hand out for me to hold it,I clasp it instantly. Feeling that bolt of electricity,that something I never felt with Him!!
Don't think of that prick amber...focus on Russ.... I smile brightly at him and leave the kitchen passing Eva and Justin... Eva has a shocked look to her face and Justin's grinning widely....
"I'll see you later Eva..Later Rome" i sing and walk out the door holding Russ's hand....
