Celebration turned to Confession

LORELEI AND LOKI

"Sige na Loki dear, besides, consider this as a celebration for bringin down Moriarty's Org." Pa-cute na sabi ni Jamie kay Loki, while curling her hair using her forefinger -probably flirting or making Loki say "YES"- kung noon ay maiirita ako, ngayon ay hindi na. Maybe because I got used to it. Besides, Loki seems not to care at all.
"I said no. It's just a waste of time." Bored na sabi ni Loki, not even looking to Jamie, because he'a to busy doing his jigsaw puzzle.
"Alistair, Lori, tell me hindi naman WASTE OF TIME yung pagce-celebrate natin right?" Naka-pout na savi ni Jamie na nakaharap na samin ngayon. Ali just simply nodded his head.
"We should go Loki. Besides, we need a break. Ngayong napabagsak natin si Moriarty, I think we deserve a break." I said na nakatingin sa direction ni Loki. Bumaling naman ang tingin ni Jamie kay Loki. "See Loki dear, it's 3 against 1. So you can't do anything about it." Jamie said. Loki stopped what he's doing and looked at us one by one, with his famous blank expression.
"Fine 😑 " Bored niyang sagot at pinagpatuloy ang kanyang ginagawa.
"That's my Loki dear 😄😄" Sabi ni Amie at agad-agad na yinakap si Loki mula sa likod.

As if on cue, I felt a pang on my heart. Oh no, what is the meaning of this? I slowly shook my head. Hindi pwede. I said on my mind.

Kinabukasan, nagising ako ng maaga to prepare. Well, as you can say, today would be the day for us to celebrate. And by the word celebration, it means travel-to-a-city-and-celebrate thingy thing. We all agreed to Jamie's decision that we'll celebrate in Manila. And with that, matutulog kami sa aming bahay. Labag man sa kalooban ko, I agreed to Jamie's request na mag-stay kami sa bahay namin ni dad. Fortunately, dad is on a business trip so I called auntie Nancy last night to prepare foods for us and so with the rooms. Bago ako lumavas sa akong kwarto ay naligo na rin ako at nag-ayos. I checked the time and it's already 5:30 in the morning. Alistair and Jamie will fetch me and Loki by 6:30. After I'm done preparing my things and making myself presentable, I went out of my room.

To my surprise, I saw Loki sitting on the couch, reading another detective-related book. Tss, nerd I said to my mind.
"Good morning." I said at dumiretso na sa kusina to cook snacks to eat habang nasa daan pa kami. Nice talking Typical Loki I, again, said to my mind, when I received no greeting. I made a cup of tea ☕️ and I also made one for Loki. Pasalamat siya at may bait ako sa kanya. When I'm done doing the cup of tea, I went directly to where Loki is and handed him the other cup of tea. Napatingin siya sa akin, na hindi inaalis yung libro sa harapan ng mukha niya at kinuha ang cup of tea.
"Your welcome." I sarcastically said. Wala manlang thank you.
"Well I didn't say that you also make one for me but thank you." Sabi niya. I rolled my eyes. Umupo ako sa kabilang sofa. "I'll just cook snacks for us para may makain tayo sa daan." I let him know at dumiretso na sa kitchen.
It only took 5 minutes to prepare our snacks. Sandwiches, some beverages, and chips lang naman kasi ang prinepare ko so mabilis kong nagawa. Nagulat ako dahil nang makitang nakaupo si Loki sa hapagkainan habang nakatingin sakin. "K-kanina ka pa dyan?" Tanong ko na nakaturo ang forefinger sa kanya. He only nodded. I immediately felt embarrassed and at the same time conscious. So nakita niya ang mga pinag-gagawa ko habang nagpre-prepare?
"Not all. I only went here when you're already putting them on the baskets." He said, still looking at me. Ayan na naman ang pagiging mind reader niya. Napairap nalang ako.
"Kung sana tumulong ka kanina kesa naman sa nakatunganga ka lang dyan. Diba?" Sarkastiko kong sita sa kanya at uminom ng tubig. "Well I thought of that. But didn't do it. Besides, I was not dazing out, I was looking at you." Bigla akong nabilaukan sa sinabi niya. I immediately went to the sink spitted out the water. Then I get a tissue para punasan yung bunganga ko. What the?! Kung wala sa kanya yun, pwes sakin meron! Sinadya kong pinatagal ang pagpunas sa bibig ko dahil alam kong namumula ako.
"Stop blushing Lorelei... or else" he said smirking then walked off. Ang narinig ko lang sa kanya ay yung stop-blusing thingy thing. Hindi ko na narinig yung sinabi niya sa huli dahil pabulong niyang sabi iyon. "Oh and by the way, I want you to know that..." at talagang binitin pa. "That??" I asked impatiently. "That I already get your things from you room." He said then marched off. Napaawang naman ang bibig ko sa sinabi niya. May pagka-gentleman pala siya My mind said. Then unconsciously, I didn't know that I was already smiling.
