Game Over

Did you think I reacted so harshly because you spilled milk on my blouse,
Or - or you stole my cookie out the jar?
Of course not!
You had the capability to bring the best out of me when you wanted,
But you preferred not.
You preferred this knot,
my chest area.
Stomach drop.

You preferred this death,
my heartstrings
Premature.
I think you needed to pre mature
Before you quickly moved to the next tool to hide yourself from yourself
New girlfriend huh?
In your eyes sudden wealth.

After months of
Swearing to god you needed "time"
I took your "time"
Your precious time was my biggest crime,
But you lied. You schemed. Continuously, without reason or rhyme.

Did you think that every time,
You could omit what you wanted?
To work to your advantage?
Call and talk to me calmly?
You sly dog.
Well that I buy.
Another month for me of strife.
Another heart for you, level up, more life.
Like a video game,
it's gone awry.

This was never a competition.
You drew the line,
turned Love into a game on your own.
Hurting hearts and having yours hurt in turn seemed to be your only mission.
See this was never something I did as recreation.

Loving and hating you wasn't for fun.
The "wisdom" God.
You wrote your verses and soon after put your head to your own gun.
You knew what you were doing, you knew what you intended.
You promised me EVERYTHING and as you admitted,
all you ever did was run.
