tentatively I look out at the sea and the shimmering movements of the current, the sun unquestionably enjoying herself looking at her divine reflection in the crystalline waters
the sea is for lovers
(it's funny cos staring at the word and my subpar penmanship, the word looks much too alike to 'loners' - it's all the same I suppose!)
the sea will provide you with the strength to love again,
I promise you
the fresh air, the ongoing rush of the tide will ground you
I took that for granted.
I swallowed Aphrodite whole and became her for awhile
but she's escaped
in the form of seafood leaking out of my cherry lips
I just wanted to be full of love.
(I thought I could get away with it. I already have the entire pantheon warring inside me, battling for complete supremacy so recklessness is an inherent trait.)
but love must be spread
love mustn't be corrupted by
greed, envy, animosity
- you're only ever ruining yourself with each selfish act.
the sea will teach you.
o, Aphrodite, thank you for the lesson in love humanity so desperately needs to have!
ah, yes, the Sea
She is merciful
-
Mother Earth and I value your existence
