Ken's Pov
I am not as bad as people think I am. I just don't feel the spark or connection anymore. I feel like I am being chained down, don't get me wrong I enjoyed our marriage while it worked.
I still love my children but Lily just don't make me feel it again. I want explore other opportunities if you know what I mean. I agree she is a good wife,good cook, loyal and understanding but I feel like I need more than that.
Back to our present situation, I want this divorce, I want out of this marriage. I know there are the children to consider but I know they will understand with time.
Lily was not my first girlfriend but she is my first love. She was everything I could ever ask for in a woman. Her cooking, carriage, good attitude,caring heart and loyalty. It like she just change all of a sudden, started acting like an old woman after a couple of years in our marriage and I just got fed up.
" Mr Williams..Mr williams can you hear me " I was snapped out of my thought
"I am so sorry about that I was lost in thought" I answered
"Well no problem I was scared for a second there. As you are aware I am a lawyer and a marriage counselor,I want you to talk to me" the lawyer replied
"I loved Lily and believe me I still do but things just ain't the same any more. I believe we both need some space"
" For how long have you known your wife?
" We meet when I was in my third year at the university. She was a jambito (slang for newly admitted student at the university) then, she caught my attention on the first day I saw her in her baby pink shirt and black pencil skirt that emphasize her small beautiful figure" I smile at the memory. " We dated for 3 years and have been married for 12 years a total of 15 years" I answered
" Have she ever given you a reason to doubt her before?
"Of course not, she never gave me a reason to doubt her. If anything she was the one who endured all my attitude and issues. She never for once left me for any reason even when other girls were involved. Her loyalty was of another level"
"Then why are you initiating this divorce when did it all go wrong?
Signing I looked at my wedding band " I just don't feel the spark anymore she just become suddenly boring to me. Like she faded before me" I answered
" Have she failed in her duties as a wife and a mother?
" No that not it she is a good wife and dotting mother ever since I met her she had never served me anything later than fifteen minutes after preparation. I don't eat food prepared an hour ago I eat fresh food and have fruits that are squeezed by her hands" I replied
"Then what is wrong or is there another woman" she questioned
"Of course not that not the reason for this divorce I loved her. Even when my mother was against us because of our background I still stood with her. Thing are just not working out anymore"
"And you do not think you can both work this out do you really want to throw 15 years of being together to the bin"
Getting reeled up" woman I am not here to talk to you about my decision, I do not need your counseling or advice. If you know you are not up to the task we can get another lawyer" I snapped at her
"I am highly sorry Mr Williams I do not mean to get you that angry I was only concern"
Cutting in "I do not think we came her to chit chat with you. A divorce is all I ask for and it will do you well to mind your business and do your damn job" I replied angrily although I know there is no need to be angry at the the poor woman I just can't help my temper
"I understand and apologies once again sir, you may wait outside while I call your wife in for a short discussion" she said
I stood up and extended my hand towards her with a calm voice" it was nice having this conversation with you I hope you will help fasten the process
"It my pleasure sir and I am sorry once again" she said shaking my hand
I turned to the door and head to the reception
