Connor x reader "The Quest" (part 3)

Just then, a zoo keeper entered the place. She was a girl about seventeen years old, she was dressed in the zoo uniform, her eyes were creepy, that's all I'm going to say about them. She started walking towards you, you decide to walk in her direction, which was also the only exit, only to see what happens. But when you reached her, she placed her foot on your way so you would fall. Obviously, you fell, Connor quickly went to help you, but there was something strange about her foot. When you hit it, it felt really hard as if it was made of metal....

The realization came to you, you quickly stand and took your bow and arrows. Connor, who was on his way to you saw, this and quickly understand and took his sword out. As all of this happens the 'zookeeper'  revealed her true form, an empousa.

"Stupid demigods," she said, "what do you think you're doing here?"

Connor reached your side "The question must go to you," he said and attacked her with his sword, but before he could kill her you yelled:

"Stop!" Connor stopped mid-air and looked at you confused, Travis and Katie were watching everything with their weapons in hand, ready to help whenever they were needed.

"We could use her to guide us to the place with the thing we must destroy" you explained. Connor nodded and took a rope from his backpack. With the help of Katie Travis and you, he was able to tie up the empousa. You forced her to guide you. At the beginning, you were a little worried your plan will not work and that the empousa will guide you directly to a trap, but with a knife at her throat and with no way to escape, she should have thought it was better to give up.
Finally, you reached a door. Everything was going okay until you saw two cyclops guarding the door. The empousa start fighting against the rope, trying to escape and screaming. You quickly covered her mouth while Connor turned her to golden dust, she had already helped you all she can, and it was better to kill her before she could kill any of you, but her screams had already taken the attention of the cyclops. They started searching the source of the sound, the four of you hide.

"Now what?" you asked.

"They are two we are four, we can take them" Connor answered.

"Yes," Travis agreed "Katie and I take the one on the left you two take the one at the right."

You and Connor nodded and headed toward the cyclops at the right. "So this is the plan," you told him quietly "I will distract him, while you try to attack him."

"Sounds good (Y/N)" he replied and went to the other side trying to not be spotted by the cyclops.

"Hey ugly!" you shout at him "searching for something?"

"Demigod," he said "You shouldn't be here" he started chasing you, what you didn't realize was how fast and strong he was. Before you could even react, he took you and lifted you 7 feet or more in the air.

"Let me go" you tried to get away from his grip. He was about to eat you, you thought he was quite able to swallow you completely with that big mouth of his when you were able to took and arm away. You took advantage of the opportunity to quickly take your knife and threw it directly at his eye. The knife hit its target, the cyclops screamed and let you go placing both his hands in his eye. Suddenly you realize your mistake, you prepare yourself to hit the floor when two strong arms were wrapped around you.

"Are you okay?" Connor asked you.

"Yes, thank you" you answered him he set you on the floor and quickly went to kill the cyclops.  Then he returned to you and sat on the spot next to you.

"Are you sure you are okay?" he asked again.

"Yes I'm sure" you answered.

"Well those were some good moves (n/n)" he winked.

"You weren't that bad either Stoll" you reply with a smile.

At the other side of the room, Katie and Travis had just finished killing the other cyclops. The four of you went to the door. You tried to open it but it was locked.

"Let this to the experts," Connor said dramatically. He started working on the lock and in less than 10 seconds the door was open.

"Wow," you said not only because of Connor's amazing abilities but because of what was inside the room. It was almost empty, another door was at the other side. In the center, there was a big transparent cylinder, and inside it was the strangest thing you have ever seen, it definitely looked like the body of something but it was all deformed and disgusting that it made you want to puke. A strange golden mist was surrounding it, the thing seemed to be absorbing it. It also seemed to be a type of strange liquid. 

"What the Hades is that," Katie asked. You only answered by raising your shoulders in an 'I don't know gesture'.

"Let's kill it before other monsters detect us," Travis said, just at that moment the other door's handle start moving, someone was trying to open it.

"Quickly," you told them. Travis broke the glass, a mistake because he was covered by the strange liquid. Then the monsters entered the room.

"What's happening in here," one of the monsters said. 

"Quickly someone destroy it!" you ordered to your demigod friends. Connor raised his sword and destroyed it. The two monsters collapsed and turned into dust.

"What just happened?" Katie asked.

"Well I think that the monsters are using their own life force to create the thing," you said.

"Oh that's true, then we will probably don't have any trouble getting out of here." she said.

Katie was correct, there were no more attacks from other monsters. Outside at the zoo, kids were still playing, people walking and seeing the animals. Travis went quickly to change his wet clothes while you Connor and Katie went to buy some ice cream. After a while, the four of you sat on a bench to eat ice cream and plan what to do next in this strange quest of yours...

So a while ago, were Piper's and Grover's birthdays!! To be exact, June 3rd Piper and June 5th Grover. Happy birthday to two of our dearest friends!!! Thanks, Grover and Piper and congrats!!!

Also, I'm really sorry for taking so long to update, we are in our last weeks of school and my teachers are just killing me with extra work, they could perfectly work as furies at the underworld. I will do my best to update more frequently on summer vacation!!!

For today's Percabeth song: 'Stand by you' by Rachel Platten. I love this song! Even though it has a happy tune, the letter made me cry.... what do you think?
