Connor x reader "The Quest" (part 3)

After a while, you both got tired of playing the ukulele and decided to do something else. According to Travis, two hours had already passed.

You talked with Connor the rest of the way until you finally reached your destination.

Argus parked at Central Park waved goodbye and left.

"Okey so where do we start?" Travis asked, looking around.

"Well, according to this map the monsters are supposed to be somewhere here, in Central Park, I am just not sure where," Katie said looking at the map with a confused look.

You looked at your surroundings, the park was really crowded, kids were playing, families were making picnics, couples sitting together, there were people walking, running, and riding bicycles.

You looked over Katie's shoulder at the map. "Isn't that in the zoo?" You said.

"Yes, it looks like," Connor said.

"Well then, let's go to the zoo!" Travis said excitedly. The four of you start walking, following the park signs and the map. Connor and Travis were walking together talking quietly, from time to time they looked back at Katie and you and smiled or grinned mischievously. You really hope they were not planning a prank.

You looked at Katie and told her "So Travis, eh?" You nudge her and winked. She blushed.

"No, what do you mean?" She said trying to sound all innocent.

"Oh please you can't hide it from me we're best friends, I saw how you two were really close during the car trip" she blushed more, then she seemed to realize something.

"And what about Connor?" It was her time to nudge and wink and yours to blush.

"Don't try to change the subject!" You told her, getting redder.

"Aww," she said "(Y/n) has a crush!" She almost yelled, you quickly covered her mouth.

"Katie they're right there, could you please shut up?" You said really embarrassed trying not to look at the brothers' direction.

She was about to say something but suddenly you bumped into someone. "Sorry and thank you," you said as the person caught you and pulled you to your feet.

"No problem (y/n)" Connor answered, wait, Connor? Oh, gods... that's when you realized how close you two were standing, you blushed, his cheeks were also a light shade of pink.

Travis cleared his throat "We had arrived to the zoo," he said. The four of you enter the zoo cautiously, with your weapons at hand.

"So now what?" You asked the others.

"Well, we need to search for the strange creation right?" Connor answered you.

"Yes but where?" You asked again

"What if we look around the zoo until we spot some monsters, the thing will probably be really protected"

So like that, the four of you started walking and searching around the zoo. There were many people that you thought it would be impossible for the monsters to detect you, but how wrong you were...

Almost after searching around all the zoo you entered the butterfly house. Suddenly everything was quiet you could only hear the soft sound of the flap of the butterflies' wings, there were only the four of you inside the garden.

"Why is everything so quiet?" You whispered to your friends

"This is suspicious, something must be in here," Travis said
