Vio sat by the fire a small book in hand, sighing he turned another page his eyes barely gliding over the words. The other three had been gone for around two weeks now, he was supposed to go with them on the trip. But as fate would have it while field training the day before they were to leave hed fallen off his horse breaking the bone in his left leg. From what hed been told it was a transverse fracture, and would be taking at least a few months to heal.

Closing his book he looked out the window watching the droplets of rain rolling down the outer portion of the glass. Grabbing the poorly crafted crutches Green had made him before leaving Vio slowly stood being careful to put as little weight as he possibly could on his currently bad leg moving himself over by the window. Resting his head on the cool glass he smiled closing his eyes.

From behind he could hear the sound of the pendulum in their mothers old grandfather clock swinging slowly back and forth, ...I really hope those three are somewhere safe

A sudden flash of lightning lit up the sky outside startling Vio enough that he fell down dropping his crutches, whacking his head on the nearby bookshelf. He saw stars for a brief moment before he groaned, ...Ugh.goddesses that hurt

Just then he heard the rear door slam open followed by the sound of an irate Blue yelling, Hey Bookworm! Were back!

This was just perfect.They just had to get home after one of the times hed fallen down. Gritting his teeth Vio began to use the bookshelf as a lever to pull himself upright forgetting about his crutches entirely. Unfortunately for him the other three just happened to walk in when he was putting weight on his injured leg.

VIO WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?! Red reacted almost immediately running over to not only support him while also looking him over.

Blue and Green could only stand and watch in awe had Vio been doing the things he shouldnt be the whole time they were gone? Growling slightly Blue stomped over taking the injured Link easily throwing him over his shoulder.

One Im taking you to your room, two when in Farores name did you last eat? his voice held a venomous amount of anger as he carried Vio to his room. Red following not too far behind them carrying the crutches looking worried.

Vio groaned lightly hitting Blues back grumbling, Blue put me down.Im not a child and have been doing fine on my own so far.

Oh really? Blue scoffed not believing the blonde haphazardly slung over his shoulder, as he kicked open said persons bedroom door entering the extremely darkened room. Then why were ya on the floor when we got back huh? Thats not fine specially with your blunder you had falling off the horse.tch, goddesses Vi how in Dins name can you see anything in here!

He grumbled to himself quietly as Blue only put some effort into being careful when placing him up on the bed, So what people fall down sometimes..And its not that dark

As Red turned on the light he sighed, it looked like Viod figured out how to personally dim it while they were gone. Once Vio could actually see the look of anger on Blues face he flinched back at the sheer amount of anger being displayed. Quickly reaching around behind him he felt his fingers brush the spine of the book hed been reading the night before carefully placing it in his lap.

Blue, Red calmly said noting that Vio was starting to panic, Could you leave Vio and me alone for a bit? I wanna talk with him. Slowly he walked over to the bed sitting by the other blonde.

Blue glared at them both for a moment before giving a defeated sigh complying with what the smaller Link had asked, Fine but Ill be back in ten minutes with something for him to eat since he never answered me.

Red and Vio sat quietly in the room time itself seeming to slow. Quietly the red clad boy began to hum a tune he knew the other enjoyed, the first time hearing it being back when theyd went back to the Village of the Blue maiden to visit their friend Erune. Smiling just the slightest bit Vio quietly began to hum along grabbing one of Reds hands. Closing his eyes he could see and feel the ocean waves rising to their peak before crashing down in a spray of salty water.

Looking awkwardly towards Vio whom had rested his head on the other boys shoulder Red softly smiled, hed missed hearing the sound of Vios voice. Slowly he began to add the vocal lyrics to the song secretly hoping that he could get the other to sing it with him, 🎵 Here by the sea singing softly, can you hear me-calling out for you? 🎵 The ocean waves are crashing, the moonlit sky is glowing🎵

.....Just as the stars you shine🎵 bright inside my heart. Messages in bottles float out from the sea up onto the sand🎵 Bringing your message up onto land, and laying it at my feet. Vios singing voice was soft and melodious as he sang the second verse of the song. Who wouldve thought something so simple would end up being the thing that brought them even closer together than before.

Reds face lit up when he heard Vio sing it was such a pretty sound, 🎵 You may think of me as the messenger of the sea, guiding this bottle here from afar so you may see whats within that jar 🎵 Now I plead for you to look inside; for the ocean never lies.

🎵 Looking deep inside I find a single rolled yellow parchment, many words written on paper telling our story🎵 Little birds flying freely- he was suddenly cut off by Green slamming open the door the Links personal med-kit in hand.

Green looked at the two of them wide-eyed as Vios face flushed a shade of red that could rival the clothing of the boy beside him, Er...Im uh...here to check on how Vios leg is doing.Also did I just hear him singing?

Vios face surprisingly managed to flush an even darker red and even starting to move up to his pointed ears as Red laughed squeezing his hand. In a calm tone he managed to say despite his embarrassment, First off my legs fine Ive been checking on it as often as I was told to, and secondly I was not singing..Now could you please leave?

Tilting his head Green gave a defeated sigh shrugging and setting the med-kid on the floor before leaving to find Blue, If either of you need anything just call for me or Blue.

Not long after Green had closed the door Vio pulled his hand away trying with all his might to hide the blush on his face by pressing his face into a pillow.

Aw Vi! Cmon dont be like that! Red smiled deviously at the other before grabbing at the pillow trying to get a look at the other boys face, Your singing voice is super pretty! You shouldnt be so embarrassed about it!

Slowly Vio lowered the pillow giving him a puzzled look face still flushed a bright red, Y-you really think its pretty?

Of course I do! He said giving Vio a very tight hug, Why else would I say that??
