*Flashback*
"What?! You've got to be kidding me! I can't believe we just traded Richards! He was our captain!" I yell at the TV.
"Yeah, the worst thing is, we traded him for these two nobodys! Some Schenn kid and a Simmonds guy! So stupid!" Ashley angrily agrees with me.
We traded our captain, for a kid who barely got ice time and another guy I've never even heard of!
*Present Day*
"So, Kasey, I've been hearing all about you! Brayden can't keep quiet ever since he met you. That kid has been pretty lonely lately," Jeska laughs, putting emphasis on pretty.
"Really? We only talked for a brief time," I say.
"So, I heard you played softball. Alabama, right?" Ryanne asks.
"Yeah," I nod, not knowing what else to say.
"You a Flyers fan? Like originally?" Erin says, putting her phone away.
"Yeah, I'm from the area, about 40 minutes from Philly maybe. I've been a fan ever since I was little," I answer. Going back to the 20 questions game, I guess.
"Oh, that's cool," Erin mumbles.
They probably thought I was some stupid puck slut who didn't know shit about the Flyers, maybe even the game. But honestly, I watch hockey in the Winter just as much as I watch baseball in the Summer.
"Well, looks like it's game time," Jeska says.
We walk throughout the Wells Fargo Center and to our seats. We have a game against Nashville today, not one Predator fan in sight.
I already know that I'll become close with Jeska, I mean she's only my boyfriend's brother's girlfriend. But the other girls, I have a feeling that they are judging me.
We sit down and talk and they get to know me. But, I can feel my phone buzzing in my pocket. I pull it out and I decide to ignore it, because the contact name says "Dad".
