I owe you

Dara's POV

I was looking at the culprits being tied up when I heard a gunshot. The next thing I know, I was on the floor with Jiyong on top of me. I heard running and Wooyoung yelling to go after someone.

I turn my attention to the man on top of me and that's when I noticed that his face is slightly contorted in pain. I grew alarmed and pushed his body off of mine so I can lay him down on the floor.

"Jiyong? What's wrong?"

I scanned his body frantically and noticed him clutching his left arm. I removed his hand and saw blood oozing from a gunshot wound.

I felt the world stop.

My heart is beating so fast that it's starting to hurt. I couldn't breathe properly either. I shifted and placed Jiyong's head on my lap.

"You idiot! What the hell do you think your doing? Why are you even here?" I said while trying to keep my voice even. Through my teary eyes, I saw him smile and lift his uninjured arm to wipe the tears off my cheeks. I didn't even noticed that I was crying.

"I couldn't allow you to get shot."

"This is none of your business. Besides, it's just a gunshot. I'm sure I could have managed. You didn't have to jump in front of me acting like your some prince." I argued. I want to keep him conscious. Keep talking, Dara.

"But I'm a prince, silly. And you're my princess. I'm just looking out for you. Besides, as you've said, it's just a gunshot. I'll survive. I just want to make sure you're safe. I told you I won't give up, didn't I?"

''Let's get out of here. I'll treat your wound myself. You better be thankful that the bullet only grazed your left arm.''

I looked behind me to ask for help and the members immediately came to my side to help Jiyong up. "Help him get in my car. I'll catch up in a few minutes."

After Jiyong's gone, I went to Wooyoung's side and spoke without looking at him.

"Make sure that you take care of all of them. I want them gone." I was a bit shocked when I heard my own voice. It was so cold, I barely recognized it.

I do lose my patience sometimes but never to this extent. I inwardly sighed. The effect he has on me is scary. Right then and there, I know I can't stop my feelings any longer.

It's too late.

'But at least try to stop it. You could be dangerous to him.' My conscience said.

Wooyoung nodded once. "Yes, princess. I'll make sure of it."

I left, got in my car and drove home with Jiyong in the backseat.

Once I arrive home, I brought Jiyong in my room and examined his arm."Thank you." I whispered.

''You're welcome.'' I can tell he's surprise just by the tone of his voice.

"I don't like owing people so tell me what you want in return now.''

''You perfectly know what or more specifically who I want.''

I looked at him and was about to say no when he said, ''Just try it with me, Dara. I'm not asking you to marry me yet. All I'm asking is for you to date me. You can always quit. Just... please?''

He looked at me with sincere eyes and I was unable to stop myself from blushing.

I didn't answer him and just proceeded to put bandages on his wound.

After I cleaned his wound, I forced him to get some sleep and promised that I'll give him an answer once he wakes up. He reluctantly agreed and slept on my bed.

I went to my office and found Bom, Minzy and Chaerin waiting for me. I sighed heavily as I sat and rub my palms on my face.

"Just let go of your feelings, Dara. Don't hold back. You know you like him too." Bom said looking at me seriously.

Chaerin and Minzy nodded in agreement.

''But what if he founds out that I belong to a gang? What if he leaves me?"

"No matter what you are and where you belong, you're still the greatest girl we've ever met. He's stupid if he let's you go." Minzy assured me while rubbing my back.

"I don't know. It's seems to me that he is only attracted to my 'gang member side'. How can I tell him that this is not really who I am?" I said while pointing at myself.

"Well, about that..." Bom said while scratching her head. "I've been asking Top about Jiyong's preferences and according to my awesome boyfriend, Jiyong swore not to have a relationship with someone 'good'. Something about being sick of them."

"So we were thinking," Bom continued "that maybe, we can keep that information to ourselves for the mean time. You know, just until you've build a solid foundation in your relationship."

"I don't think that's a good idea, girls. I don't want to lie to him." I said hesitantly.

"Just give yourself a chance to be happy, Dara. If he really likes you, then he'll accept you for who you are.'' Chaerin urged.

"We'll help you keep your 'other side' a secret. We promise." Minzy added.

"We just have a good feeling about this, about him. Just give it a try." Bom said while looking at me with pleading eyes.

"But with regard to the issue about being a member of a gang, I think I should tell him that, don't you think? I mean, It's not like I can keep it from him."

The girls agreed and I jokingly added "So you three have been talking behind my back, huh?"

We all laughed and talked about someting else.

After a few hours, I went to my room to check on Jiyong and found him sitting on the bed.

"Hey, how do you feel?" I asked as I sat on the edge of the mattress.

"I'm okay." He smiled. "So can we talk now?"

"Before anything else, Jiyong, I want you to know that I'm a member of a gang. The leader is my father."

Jiyong's POV

After she said that, I just nodded and continued to smile at her direction. I want to laugh at her expression right now. She looks like she's expecting me to run and hide. She's so adorable.

"I already figured that one out."

"H-how?"

"Earlier at the warehouse, they were calling you princess. I'm a smart guy you know." I pointed to myself with my uninjured hand.

"And just so we're clear, I still like you. So what's your answer? Would you be my girlfriend, Park Sandara?"

Her face glowed and she smiled. She's so breathtakingly beautiful that I can eat her up right now. If not for the wound on my shoulder, I would have already done that. Tsk! Bothersome... but worth every pain.

I closed my eyes and waited for her answer. I was silently praying that she'll say yes.

I was bewildered when I felt the mattress dipped and I felt her lips on my forehead. I opened my eyes as she backed away and placed her small, warm hands on both side of my face.

'' Yes. I'll be your girlfriend. Now, all we have to do is introduce you to my father.'' She smiled mischievously.

I gulped.

Lord help me...
