Neal left for work in the morning and told me he would call me if he needed me.
I was waiting by the the fountain waiting for Jace.
He was walking towards me and we bro hugged.
I got a call and he nodded his head indicating that I should answer the call.
"Hey, Neal," I said.
"Yeah. If you're hungry we could meet up for lunch," Neal said.
"Who's we," I asked.
"You, me, Peter, and Elizabeth," he said.
"Where," I was just asked even though. I knew I can't make it.
"Bztheste at 2:00," Neal said.
"I would love to but I think I want to take a rain check. I'm still getting used to everyone,"I said.
"You know, what how about dinner just you and me," Neal said.
"Sure. But you're going to have to come get me because I don't have a car," I said.
Neal laughed and I smiled.
"Sure," he said before hanging up.
"What the hell happened to you," Jace said.
"I met my brother," I said.
"This is the type of thing you're supposed to tell me," he says.
"Yeah. Yeah. What did you find out," I say.
He sighs before getting out s file from his jacket.
"You should be more suspicious," I say and he just hands me the file.
"This is everything I could get on them but Daniel are you sure you want to do this," He says.
"Yep. 100%. Now," I aid before freezing mid sentence.
"Daniel, what," Jace says before turning around and seeing the same people as me.
Ozera's men.
We break off in a sprint just as one of them sees us.
I see them start to run after us.
"Meet me at the Bztheste," I sat and he nods before sprinting in the other direction.
I run as fast as I can and just barely dive into a roll before a bullet whizzes past me.
"Guns, really. I hate guns," I say before getting up and running again.
I duck into a corner store before I make my way out the back entrance.
I take off my jacket and put on one off the racks.
I pay the cashier and she looks at me like I'm crazy because I paid her with a $50.
"Just keep the tip," I say and run out the store.
I still have the file in my hand and stick it into my jacket.
I look behind me to see one of Ozera's men loading his gun and leveling it with me.
I run a bit more before I hear the gun go off and I dive to the side but I could tell the bullet hit me.
I put a hand over the wound on my shoulder.
I wince in pain as I get up.
I duck back down when I notice the guys still there.
I make a run for it when I see Bztheste.
"Neal," I yell and dive for the floor.
The last thing I hear is "FBI, out your hands up."
