16 And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me. Your throne shall be established forever.
Lessen: In this verse the prophet Nathan was talking to King David. The Lord was assuring David that his kingdom and his family line would rule forever. The word forever in this verse is referring to Christs reign over Israel. It doesn't mean that there wouldn't be interruptions in ruling, though.
Prayer Application: This verse reminds us to pray for the Lord's chosen people, Israel. It reminds us to pray for the nations salvation and for things to come. It reminds us to thank God for His promises for the future.
Life Application: Look at the context around verses. Pray for Israel. Go out and share the Gospel with someone.
