Areum's POV

Feeling satisfied, I sighed loudly and stretched my body. I've been working hard to sort things out inside my bedroom since I've moved in Seoul yesterday leaving my parents at the USA. The last time I went here was 10 years ago before my parents decided to expand their business outside Seoul. Things quite hard for me after moving but luckily I could make some friends there and graduated with degrees. Reason why I moved back here was because apparently my parents asked me to take care of their business here and being an obedient child I am, I complied.

After checking that my refrigerator was kinda empty, I decided to go to the mart to do some shopping. I changed into a black hoodie and a pair of black ripped jeans while putting on my sneakers. Having a rich parents was a good thing since I didn't have to search for taxi instead they had prepared me a car. Tapping my finger on the steering wheel, my eyes watched some people who crossed the road to go to wherever they wanted to.

I grabbed the shopping cart and went inside the mart. I was having a hard time choosing the watermelon when someone said, " Pick the one on your left, "

My eyes snapped upon the latter of the voice and a gasp escaped through my lips. " Yoojung?! "

She gasped, " Areum? Is that you?! Ohmygod! It's been a long time. "

" Yes, it is. How are you ? "

" I am fine. Girl! Where have you been? We were looking for you and yet we only heard about your family after 5 years. "

My smile fluttered and a feeling of sadness swept through me. It was my fault though that I didn't tell them about my departure. But luckily I managed to conceal it with a laugh, " Yeah, as you can see. My parents had expand their business in USA so that's why and I am sorry that I didn't tell you. "

Yoojung was a great friend of mine since middle school. We would always spend the night together during the weekend either in my house or her house. Her parents also thought of me as their own daughter the same goes to her other siblings. She had five siblings including herself. They were such a happy family. They would always invited my parents and I to have a dinner or party with them. It was kinda hard for me to leave her without saying anything even though a letter. My parents kept on asking whether I wanted to meet her on the day we leave Seoul, but I didn't want to. I just didn't want him to know.

" Where are you living right now? " She stared at me with her large eyes. I noticed that she had grown into such a beautiful lady with her quite tan skin.

" I live at our old house. You remember right? "

" Yes. Oh god. It was such a long time when I went there. "
" Do you want to come over tonight? You know, pick up where we left, "

She beamed at me, " Of course! We have a lot to discuss about, Areum. I think that I should go now. See you later! " she hugged me before leaving.

I closed the refrigerator with my feet and went through my phone to search for recipes. I haven't cook any Korean dishes for such a long time so my skills became rusted.

My eyes and hands were busy at the same time since I had to check on the recipe everytime to make sure what I was doing correct. I took a sip of the soup. Tasting the rich taste of the dish, I turnt off the stove and moved to the next dishes. I hummed tunelessly and swayed my hips. I hoped Yoojung would like the meals that I prepared for her like she used to. I shook my head while smiling when I remembered how she used to burp loudly after eating my bento during school.
