"What do you think Mr Blackbourne is going to do?" Gabriel asked me as we made our way back to the bathroom. He and I had just finished getting changed and we were headed back to the others.

I knew I had a smug look on my face because, for once, I was finally in the right place at the right time. Bath time with Sang, excellent.

It was only by pure luck that the rest of the team was busy except the four of us. I certainly wasn't going to complain about the fact that we would get to have our very own hot tub moment while everyone else was rooting around doing covert Academy business. Not at all.

Sometimes it paid to be seen as the muscle.

Thinking about Gabriel's question though, what was Mr Blackbourne planning on doing about this situation? I knew that he realized what was happening with Sang, he wasn't a stupid man. Dr Green had somewhat hinted around about magical compatibility and all that during his little lesson this morning, so I knew he realized it too.

However, I wondered really if Sang had thought about what any of that actually meant, for her or us. After all, a lot had happened to her lately, and most of it not so good.

Just remembering everything that she'd gone through in her life made me angry, and that was only what we knew about so far.

She had been treated terribly, and I wanted to make someone pay.

Considering the situation, and the fact that we were stuck here in this job, it really wasn't possible to go out seeking revenge. Yet.

North and I had discussed, in detail, what we planned on doing when we were finished with this mission.

District six better be ready for our team, because even without asking the others we both knew that the whole of us would be investigating this thoroughly.

Sang didn't appear to understand how much she had done for me, for all of us, already. She thought it was a joke when I called her my angel, and when I told her that she had saved me.

Honestly though, it was true - she really had saved me that first night. When she came charging out of nowhere and defended me from Chet and his goons she had stopped something that would not had ended well for me, no matter what outcome.

I would either have had to fight those guys when they charged me, or would have had to allow them to push me around. Either way would have resulted in my punishment, or serious injury to myself and our team. Nathan was nearby, there was no way he wouldn't have been pulled into a confrontation.

Our entire mission, and our lives, had been jeopardized at that moment.

Then she appeared, and I thought I was dreaming. After all, this small, beautiful girl had bravely defended me from a number of men twice her size. In all my life no one really defended me before, because I never needed defense. I had always been the one to protect others, or at least I was always depended on for my strength.

It was at that moment, I knew that she would own me forever.

And now... Now that idiot Chet and his cronies have threatened her, not once - but twice.

The first time was when he tried to claim her for himself, as if she wasn't a person with free will all on her own, and again this morning. I gritted my teeth and could feel my anger rising. If North hadn't been there...

I still wanted to kill that Greg guy, and I knew that North did too, but Kota had said he had a plan and that we needed to wait. I could do that, I could be very patient.
