God, he loved when she did that.

"Just--you're extraordinary." He smiled big, so proud of her.

"Aw, well," she said putting her arm over his shoulders and interlocking them behind his neck, "I think you're pretty extraordinary too." She grinned a big grin, matching his. They were perfect together. An equal amount of yin and yang.

"I don't want to go our separate ways." Castle confessed a frown fogging over his smile.

"I know, but we'll see each other tomorrow." Beckett said with hope in her eyes.

"Why don't you let me take you home." Castle smiled once more, his idea sparking it.

"But what about my car?" She asked.

"Oh...well-well i could pick you up in the morning and bring you to work!"

Castle, don't you think that would raise some eyebrows?"

"Well. not if we're smart about it. I take you home, I pick you up when you need to be to work, i drop you off at your car, then i leave go get coffee and then come up. Does that-sound...plausible?"

"I think...I think it sounds great. Well thought out Castle. Good job." She teased.

"You really like it?"

"Yes, I really like it."

"Ok then." Castle finished, softly enlacing his fingers with Kate's and walking the rest of the way to his car. When they reached it Castle opened the door for Kate and helped her inside. Once she was safe and sound he hurried around to his side of the car. Once inside him and Kate locked eyes and he couldn't help but lean in for another kiss. Kate happily obliged. It was a soft and quick kiss but it meant everything to him, like all their future kisses to come would. And the same goes for her.

Castle then started the engine and they began the drive to Kate's apartment. Every now and then at a stoplight he would look over to her and see her sparkling eyes looking back at him. ALmost as if she could sense when he was going to look at her, and she beat him to it. She was such a wonderful, powerful, illecebrous woman. He couldn't help but get lost in her eyes, her scent, her everything every time he looked at her, touched her. He couldn't help himself. To him she was everything he could've ever wanted and more. From the moment he met her he knew that she would always have and hold a special piece of his heart.

The drive took about twenty minutes. When they reached the apartment Rick insisted he walk her up, and Kate didn't deny him that. If anything it seemed she wanted him to walk her up. He slipped his hand into hers smoothly and he heard her laugh to herself. He looked over and saw her twirling her hair and biting her lip softly. God, he wanted to kiss her then and there but he could already hear her protests about how they shouldn't be kissing in her apartment lobby in case one of her noisy neighbors would see. He already knew, so he would wait. She allowed his to hold her hand until the elevator doors closed, then she turned to look at him. He saw nothing but love in her eyes.

"Castle, I just want to say thank you, for everything ya know?" She looked down at her feet, shy, awaiting an answer.

"Kate," He grabbed both her hands in his, "is it ok if I call you Kate?" She nodded her head slowly with a small smile, "You don't need to thank me, I'm here because I want this as much as you do, maybe even more, you know me," She giggled softly, "the point is," he said as their eyes met, "you don't have to be scared or run from me because I'll always keep chasing you down because you have a piece of me, a big piece. And I always want to piece to stay in my heart, ok?"

"Wow, you really are a writer. Glad I snagged you." Kate said accepting his open arms. The pair hugged until the elevator doors opened. The stepped out and once again joined their hands. Castle felt his heart skip a beat as she laid her head on his shoulder as they finished their way down the hallway and up to Kate's door.

Kate begrudgingly took out her keys, sad that she had to remove herself from Castle in order to open her door. She took out her keys and undid the lock. She then walked inside while Castle stayed outside, but in the door frame. She turned to face him and a frown appeared on her face.

"What's that for?" Castle asked concerned but still teasing her a little bit, but not too much in case it was something serious.

"What if I wake up tomorrow and this is all a dream?" She looked away from him as she confessed her fear."

"Oh, Beckett, this is real," he took her hands in his once more, "Don't worry ok, when you wake up bright and early I will be here and everything will be the same if not better."

"But what if-"

"Yeah, what if it is a dream? There's always what if's, but worrying over them isn't the way you're supposed to live you life."

She didn't respond verbally, but she responded physically. She pulled him by his hands into her open arms and they embraced. She squeezed him tight for awhile afraid that if she let go he would vanish. but as she thought about what he said she realized that yes, indeed this was real, and he wasn't going anywhere.

"Thank you." She whispered into his ear, kissing his cheek as they released from their hug, "I wish this night wouldn't end so soon."

"You know I'll be here tomorrow, always." He smiled and leaned in and gave her a quick but passionate kiss.

For Castle this kiss held the promise of tomorrow, the promise that he would be there for her whenever she needed him to be and would never leave her side. He put a lot into that quick kiss. His heart exploded when she giggled into it, probably sensing how much this kiss meant to him. And that was okay, she could call him ooey gooey about love and he would love her no less.

Kate felt his lips against hers and instantly closed her eyes, already longing for more of him. More of his charm. She could tell Castle's mind was busy at work because suddenly he started kissing her harder and she giggled. This man. This man who she had fallen for was giving her everything she could have dreamed for and more. She would call him a sap later, but it would obviously be all out of good fun, and if it hurt his feelings she would immediately apologize and soothe his wound with a kiss. Yeah, that would make things better.

Eventually the pair did have to pull away, and when they did they were both smiling like big idiots, but idiots who were in love.

"You should probably go and get some sleep if you're going to be here bright and early to pick me up." She said looking at him with utter love in her hazel eyes.

"You're right, until tomorrow detective." He said, matching her gaze with his baby blues.

Neither of them wanted to part but they knew tomorrow they would meet again. And that was okay. Everything was okay for now. and they both found comfort in that. Sure there would be some bumps in the road, but they would handle them together. She wouldn't run and he wouldn't either. They would work like adults and go through paving their way coming out even stronger and more in love than before. They were both truly dedicated to one another and soon their affection would evolve and form into the happy ending that both of them wanted and deserved.
