Dinig ko ang walang tigil na salpukan ng mga alon sa dagat. Naamoy ko ang halimuyak ng mga bulaklak mula sa kinauupuan kong nalililiman ng isang punong kahoy. Humahampas sa mukha ko ang sariwang hangin na nagmistulang isang musika sa aking tainga dahil sa banayad nitong pag-ihip.

I heard laughters from afar. Her laughter sounds music to my ears. Her laughter was my determinant that we're at peace and everything that I have fought for, every pain I bore and every sacrifices I took was all worth it.

"Aunt Kristell, I am floating!" natutuwang usal ni Zia habang palutang-lutang sa hangin. Kasalukuyan itong nakikipaglaro kay prinsesa Kristell at Allen.

Naramdaman ko ang paghawak ng isang maliit na palad sa kamay ko. Ilang saglit lang ay niyakap ako nito't hinalikan sa pisngi. "Thank you for keeping your promise Allison," nagagalak na bulong ni Ivy. Nilaro-laro pa nito ang buhok ko bago nakapagdesisyong tunguhin ang dalampasigan.

Nasa bandang likuran ko sina Sheryl, Reid, Souk, at general Rumac na abala sa paghahanda ng pagkain. Naamoy ko pa ang mabangong inihaw na manok at karne ng tuna na binubburan ng keso mula sa kinauupuan ko. Hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti habang pinapakinggan ang tawanan sa paligid habang kumakanta si Reid --marahil ay para magpapansin kay Sheryl na abalang naghihiwa ng melon.

Nakailang singhap ako ng hangin bago ko naramdaman ang pagdating ng mga bagong miyembro ng lumalaki kong pamilya. Base sa nakikita ng mga kadena ko'y may mga dala-dalang prutas ang kambal na Russell at Rachelle habang buhat-buhat ni Quattro ang isang malaking payong. Dala naman ni Charles ang tatlong laptop nito kasunod ni White Rose na pinaghandaan ang kasuotan para sa picnic namin sa beach. Hindi matanggal ang mga mata ni Quattro sa babae na patay malisya sa pagsulyap-sulyap ng lalaki.

My heart almost jumped outside my chest when I felt them arrived- Levi, carrying Brittany. My chains felt their joyful heart. Charles was right. She'll live. Brittany was our saviour. She guarded me and the channels with her shield to keep us safe from the total annihilation. One reason why Carlisle Gramaj decided to make her a replacement channel when the last fifth channel they created died from the quarterly clash. The thought lessens the guilt inside me. My innocent channels were safe.

"Allison!" tawag saakin ni Brittany nang maibaba ito ni Levi. Niyakap ako nito sabay halik sa aking pisngi. "Levi told me one fairytale story last night and my nightmares were lessen."

I laughed and messed her hair with my hand.

"Okay Brit, why don't you join Zia and princess Kristell? Play with them so that Allison and I will have a small talk," masuyong sabi ni Levi sa bata. I can see him smiling eventhough my eyes were shut.

"Okay, I will you a story later Allison; how Cinderella met Prince Charming," malambing na utas ni Brit.

"Sure honey. I would love to hear it." nakangiti kong sagot.

Nang makaalis na si Brittany ay naramdaman kong umupo sa buhanginan si Levi. Panay ang buntong hininga nito na tila may gustong sabihin.

"How's Alpha?" I asked to cut the silence.

"Carlisle plans to take them down when the revolutionary army is ready. Alpha has lost Delta and most of its super powers kaya madali na lang silang mapapabagsak ngayon. Once the government is taken down, a new revolution will arise and hopefully the humans and our race can live in harmony. It's a long process but we're getting there. Charles saw it happening," he sighed again. It was a relief on both of us that his father's sacrifices were not wasted.

"We are happy about the news." I expressed. Stared blankly at whatever's lies infront of me.

"We... so it is confirmed?" he tried to take the gist. His tone seem amused. Delighted.

"Yes. He told me once that he'll be with me either in flesh or in spirit. He meant it. Alec left me a gift inside my womb." The happiness in my voice was immeasurable. I know deep inside my heart, he did not leave me at all. I can feel it. Around me. In my belly. In my heart.

"I guess I should be ready to be a godfather then?" Levi was almost laughing. The pureness of his heart remained even after hearing the news.

"You better be!" pabiro kong sabi. We ended up laughing that day.

Charles once said, it's going to be a long battle but our aim is getting closer. I almost felt like my job was done. The people I love, those who I cared for were safe. It may take a long while to heal my aching heart for Alec's abscence, I know for sure that the alius inside would help me mend what's been damaged and lost.

All sacrifices, the alius who died for this peaceful life we've been fighting for --amang Lucas, Peatrice, Rambu and Rita, the royal couple of Claremur, Alec and all those innocent alius and non-alius who died during the annihilation-- will never be forgotten. They are our hero now and forever DEATHBOUND...
