*Noelle's POV*
It was now December. Although the weather could be depressing, I was hoping for that holiday cheer to finally fill the air and to bring everyone together.
Cameron and I have really grown to know each other ever since that conversation we had. We talked everyday we didn't see each other on FaceTime. He now knows all my fears, hopes, dreams, and what my favorite state of beings are.
My fears would be: failing high school for some apparent reason, losing my parents, and failing an act of suicide.
My hopes would be: to move back to New York going to Columbia and to be happy.
My dreams would be: to be a doctor.
My favorite state of beings are: accomplishment and that wonderful feeling you get right before bed after a good day. You smile because of how great your day was, you smile because of how great it was.
He knows my favorite band (Vampire Weekend or The Arctic Monkeys), my favorite singer (Lorde), and my favorite MagCon member (Shawn Mendes). Or Cameron Austin?
Today is Sunday, December 1, 2013. I asked Cameron if he wanted to hang out at the mall.
*To Cameron: Hey! was wondering if you wanted to hang out today at the mall. It's the only day I'm free b/c essay on top of essay, plus SAT prep.*
I remember I was always afraid to text first, but Cameron told me he likes it when girls text first, "It makes things less complicated, no mixed signals," which I found fairly true.
My phone vibrated.
*From Cameron: Course I'd want to hang out! picking you up at 12, I want to eat lunch with you.*
I got ready, it was 11:30. I curled my hair for a change. I wore an olive coat with a red flannel under, with a grey long sleeve under that. I wore black jeans and still the same brown oxfords I wore when I first hung out with Cameron at the mall.
It was 11:55 and the doorbell rang. I opened it and it was Cameron.
Looking as good looking as ever, he was holding a bouquet of black roses and a smile on his face.
He knew I've always wanted to receive black roses. It's from one of my favorite scenes in American Horror Story Murder House. When Tate gave Violet a black rose because he knew how she liked things different. "I painted it black. I know how you don't like normal things," was the line said.
"I paid Taylor to paint these black. I know how you don't like normal things," Cameron told me then smirked. I laughed.
"It's the thought that counts," I responded him and he smiled. We hugged and I took the roses and placed them in a vase.
"You ready to go now?" He asked happily.
"Definitely, get ready though you'll be my pack mule for the day," I told him and he laughed. "I'm drop dead serious." He still laughed.
We were at the mall now and it was pretty packed.
"Hold my hand so I don't lose you," he suggested. I took his hand. "So where do you want to go first?"
"Bath & Body Works. I'm going to buy some things for my mom and teachers," I answered.
"Your teachers? Aw Nerdy Noelle," he insulted. I ignored him and led the way there.
Cameron looked around weirdly. "Girls love these things?" he asked curiously. I thought it was a joke, but it looked as if he was drop dead serious.
"Yeah, would you want us to smell like apes?" I shrugged making a point.
"Point taken. You're still a nerd. But let's make the best of this situation, the only scent I like here is, ummm," he nodded while scanning the place, "I only like Vanilla Bean Noelle," he flirted and I shook my head. He put on an idiot smile while he presented the lotion to me.
"You're so cute when you're stupid," I complimented him ish. It was cute though.
"You're so stupid when you're cute," he responded.
"So I'm stupid all the time then," I said jokingly. He looked at me, then kissed me.
It was the second time we kissed, but this time it was in public.
*Cameron's POV*
Right after our kiss, Noelle changed the subject immediately.
"Vanilla Bean Noel or Merry Marshmallow Kiss?" she asked holding both up.
"Um, what about Merry Noelle Kiss?" I asked. I loved her kisses even if we only kissed twice.
"How about hot chocolate?" she suggested cheerfully.
We were in line for the beverages. "Hi, what can I get you today?" the cashier asked.
I dozed off thinking about MagCon and raising all my F's to C's. I woke up from my bundle of thoughts when Noelle started talking while we were waiting for our drink. Meaning she payed for my drink. Shit.
"Hey, the day we met, I asked you how excited you are for MagCon, you never answered. What were you thinking about anyway?" she pouted.
What was I thinking? About how beautiful she was. It hurt. I remember looking at her, hurt.
I liked her from Day 1.
"I was tired remember? I slept at 4am," I stated confidently, though that wasn't the reason why I didn't answer.
"Right," she said looking weirdly at me. "One more question, what did Taylor tell you about me? I know he set us up, but..."
"He said you were gorgeous and that you are his best friend," I answered, "but why are you asking this question?"
"I think I have feelings for Taylor."
