Sheldon walked close behind them. They had gone out on inspection the moment he was able to move again. He still felt slightly stiff but he wasn't one to whine. Not in times like this. Andrew needed him. The kid would probably annoy the ghost enough for it to snap.

Sheldon felt useless without a weapon. He'd looked everywhere for something and only came up with a stick.

They walked for what seemed like hours until they came to a big room.

They stopped in the doorway. Kim paled and stepped back. James did the opposite, "Oh. My. Gosh"

Sheldon was confused. "Wait. What are those?"

Kim closed her eyes. "Bodies"

Sheldon gasped and choked. "No way."

James leaned in to look closer. "He's a hunter. What did you expect? Whoa did you see these?"

Kim shook her head. "I'd rather not"

Sheldon took pity on her and gabbed her arm. "Common. There's a door over there"

James looked at him incredulously. "There are like five doors. Which one do you mean."

Sheldon stopped and saw he was right. He inspected them. "Which one do you suggest?"

James tried them out and poked his head in to steal a peek, "Two are locked. The other three just lead to other rooms. I think this here is the main room."

Kim opened one eye to look through her fingers. "Which ones are locked?"

Sheldon let go of her arm and pointed two out. She avoided looking at anything else except those doors. "We should got there," she said as she pointed to one.

James frowned, "Why?"

"It's the most used one and it's locked so..."

Sheldon nodded but James said, "But he's a hunter, isn't he. It might be a trap"

Sheldon shrugged, "Doubt it. He wouldn't think many ghosts got past the traps and the other rooms aren't very interesting"

"There might be a secret passage or something"

Kim sighed, "I don't think so. This is his house. He'll feel safe here. You know what. We're wasting time. Just open the thing"

James rolled his eyes. "Sure, let me just get out my hairpick and stick it in the lock"

Kim reached for her hair but James waved his hand. "Kidding" he approached the door and adjusted his grip on his bat. Sheldon took a step back as James swung. He aimed right for the handle and it creaked. But nothing else happened. He clenched his jaw and swung again, this time much harder. The handle snapped and broke off.

They stared at it for a minute.

"Wow," Sheldon said, "that ghost seriously needs to renew his stuff"

James looked at the bat in admiration. "This is the best baseball bat I've ever had the honor to hold. I'm keeping this"

Kim waited impatiently. "Common. Open the door"

James pulled open the door. He raised his bat and peeked inside. He groaned when he found another hallway.

He gestured for the others to follow and Kim did so quickly. Happy to be out of that room.

They walked and soon heard noise. Cheering and shouting. They slowed their pace until they came upon the end of the hallway. There was a closed door a few meters from the hole at the end. They hung back for a second, thinking about what to do.

Kim tapped James' shoulder. He glanced down at her. She pointed towards the door and he nodded. He tried it but it didn't open. He looked back at Kim for affirmation and she held up her hand as a sign of 'wait'. She listened closely to the shouting. She heard sounds of fighting and screams. She lowered her hand when the cheering became particulary loud. James swung the bat and it crashed through the lock. He broke it at once.

He cautiously peeked through the door and caught his breath. He saw green glowing bodies. Then he realised they were ghosts and they were bundled up in cages. So many cages. The light emitting from the ghosts iluminated the room enough for the jock to see one dark cage. Humans in it. He grinned and swiveled his head towards his newfound friends. "Found 'em"
