Demons

Prologue

Its scared hand caressed my cheek. I stood in its arms, "Hello sweetie." it uttered. I was incapable of moving, it was made of nothing but darkness behind the perfect face. I was helpless, I couldn't fight it off, it was part of me, it had always been there, always will be. "Please, what are you? Why are you here?"   "Oh, sweet Elise, how long I've been waiting for that question. Its simple really, you see, in the realm you humans call 'hell', we demons tend to get slightly bored, therefore I thought I may come the human realm and pick a little pet to have some fun with." "Why me? I'm nobody." "Exactly my dear, it'll more fun; no one suspects a nobody." he whispers, breath warming my ear.  what was he planning to do with me. "Whats your name, surely even demons have names." I tried to sound much braver then I felt, but my voice came out wobbly and cracked. "Of coarse we do, its Ferris, and its about time you went home." The darkness void we had been standing in swirled and twisted into pure nothingness, Ferris fading away around me, his arms unwrapping from around my body. I turned to see his face, god he was beautiful, but there was darkness in those eyes, darkness and death.
